Commander Amarao works for the department of Interstellar Immigration. This agency, among other things, acts as a middle man for negotiations between the government and Medical Mechanica. Thus, Haruko/Raharu is a big problem for them as she is bent on provoking an attack by disrupting communications. Amarao has fake eyebrows made of nori which he believes serve the dual purpose of making him look macho and protecting him from N.O. Amarao seems to have had a past relationship with Haruko similar to Naota's.    In the first episode he appears in (the 4th episode of the series), the viewers get the impression that he is virtually an omniscient character, giving background information as well as making fairly accurate predictions. However, subsequent events would show him as extremely weak and very limited in foresight.    It is a likely inference from the story that as a child he was approached by Haruko/Raharu, just like Naota, and she tried using his N.O. to contact/capture Atomsk. However, his N.O. channel is so weak that he can barely pull something the size of a slingshot through. When the prior happens in episode 5, Haruko says "Small, as usual.", again suggesting a previous relationship between the two, or that she has tried it with other men. One could also argue that a youthful entanglement with Haruko could have led to his career with Interstellar Immigration. There are some traces of him feeling jealous that Haruko has chosen Naota over him.    He has a love of sickeningly sweet candy and drinks, and hates spicy, sour, and pulpy foods - much like Naota. His vehicle of choice is a Fuji Rabbit, a motor scooter which was produced initially in 1946 six months prior to the initial production of the Vespa. Given that throughout the series Amarao is constantly trying to impress Haruko, who rides a Vespa, one could conclude his ownership of a scooter is further manifestation of his attempts to impress her - or at very least a signal to the level at which Haruko influenced him in his youth.

A hormonal, blonde-haired biker and virgin, Onizuka Eikichi graduated from a bottom-rung university by cheating and, as such, cannot get a decent job. His main way of spending time is peering up girls' skirts in a local mall. He is very athletic, as he can bench press 150 kg (331 lbs), has a second dan black belt in karate, and even claims to perform 500 push-ups, 1000 pull ups and 2000 squats daily.

Prior to the hunter exam, Leorio's close friend died to a curable illness, and Leorio was unable to save him due to his lack of money and knowledge. Because of this. he aims to become a doctor in order to help those without the money to pay for treatment.  In order to cover his tuition for medical school, he decides to take the hunter exam, where he meets Gon, Killua, and Kurapika. Leorio is also talented at bargaining, being able to haggle shopkeepers to no end. He often seems brash and rude, but overall he cares deeply for his friends. Leorio is an emitter, although learning nen did not come easily to him.

Nagare came into the picture after the Nadesico escaped from Mars; a skilled Aestivalis pilot, Nagare rescued Akito during battle as the latter was in a state of panic and unable to move. He was soon assigned to the Nadesico, bringing along Erina Won, who he had a mysterious relationship with. Nagare disparaged Akito for his devotion to the simplistic ideals of Gekiganger and the fact that he hates Japanese Anime altogether, but the two were still able to get along well enough.   ~!Nagare is revealed to be the president of Negal, who only joined the Nadesico to keep an eye on the crew and to make sure they followed his shadowy agenda.!~ 

Alex Row is the captain of the infamous battleship Silvana. He seems to be more or less completely unemotional, but a tragedy in his past haunts him. Alex graduated from the Anatoray Officer's Academy, but his actions are more of a privateer than an officer of Anatoray. However, this can say nothing against his skill as an officer. Time and again, he displayed his prowess on he battle field as a captain and proves that the nick name of his ship, Kill-'em-all Silvana, isn't just for show. He meets the main characters Claus and Lavie when they deliver Alvis to him for protection aboard the Silvana. Alex's primary purpose in life is to take his revenge on Delphine, whom he holds responsible for his fiancée's death.   _Character designer Range Murata has described the character as a "loner". Alex Row was based on Captain Harlock, a space pirate character created by manga artist Leiji Matsumoto. According to Murata, the design for his clothing "turned out all black, no matter how carefully or subtly I put in the lines; they were all the same when I colored it in". Kenshiro (Ken for short) is the 64th successor of the "Hokuto Shin Ken" style. He has seven scars on his chest in the shape of the "Hokuto Shichisei ", or Big Dipper, that were put there by Shin  A strong and mostly stoic character, Kenshiro is compelled to punish evil-doers and can perform feats not possible for most people. His mastery of the ancient martial art Hokuto Shinken allows him to kill or cripple with a mere touch. The results tend to be very messy -it usually causes parts of the victim to explode- but the art also includes several other means of killing. He can also use this art to heal or to alter people's behavior. Later in the series Kenshiro learns parts of other martial arts.  When angry his spiritual powers reach their peak, normally culminating in the dramatic destruction of his shirt and jacket (which, despite the obvious lack of a wardrobe or clothing store, are always replaced in the next episode or story arc) to expose his muscular torso.  His catchphrase is Omae wa mō shindeiru (おまえはもう死んでいる), meaning "You are already dead", which he usually says before a villain's head is about to explode.  After surviving the nuclear war, he tries to live in peace with his fiancee Yuria, until Jagi instigates Shin, a jealous rival from the Nanto Seiken school, to challenge, then defeat Kenshiro. Shin then engraves the iconic seven scars on Kenshiro's chest and leaves him for dead. Prior to this event he was more forgiving of his enemies, as shown in a flashback of Jagi's failed assassination attempt against him, in which Kenshiro chooses to spare Jagi's life after defeating him rather than end it. When Kenshiro later fights his old rivals in the present, particularly Shin, Jagi, and Raoh, they all remark on Kenshiro's acquired mercilessness.  The initial story arc centers around Kenshiro's quest to reclaim Yuria from Shin. In the very first chapter, he meets a pair of orphans who follows him in his journey: Bat, a thief; and Lin, a young girl rescued by Ken. Thorough the course of the series, Kenshiro protects the weak and innocent from the numerous gangs roaming the post-apocalyptic wasteland, eventually gaining his reputation as the "Savior of the Century's End". Kenshiro's skills improve through his encounters with members of the Nanto Roku Seiken and his Hokuto Brothers. Ryūken named Kenshirō after his older brother, Kenshiro Kasumi, because both had a Big Dipper-shaped birthmark on their heads. The identity of his parents has never been made clear, but he has an older brother named Hyō. Hyō and Kenshirō were caught in a fire and were rescued by Kaiō's Mother, at the cost of her life. With the Land of Asura in political turmoil, Jūkei send the baby Kenshiro away to Japan with Raoh and Toki to be raised by Ryūken. !~

Gojyo is a half-demon, made obvious by his red hair and eyes, who loves to gamble and is fond of women looking for a good time. He is often teased by Goku and Sanzo due to his lecherous behavior. However, he is a loyal and reliable friend who will go through extreme lengths for them when the need arises. His weapon in battle is a _shakujou_, a staff with a crescent-moon shaped blade attached to the end by a chain that can be elongated.

However, he does eventually become a believer and enjoy the company of his pack mates. After Kiba, he seems to be the best fighter among all the wolves and also seems to be more logical and observant than all the other wolves; thus it can be argued that he is the most intelligent. Vegeta is a character from the manga series Dragon Ball by Akira Toriyama.  

Aside from Goku, Gohan and Piccolo, he is easily one of the most prominent characters in the series, receiving more character development after being introduced than a number of other characters.  Vegeta is haughty, arrogant, and filled with hatred and bitterness as a result of the destruction of his home planet and his race's abusive treatment at the hands of Freeza. His royal status seems to have caused him to develop an inflated sense of superiority and he holds himself above most people he encounters.  In  _Cross Epoch_ (the  _Dragon Ball_ and  _One Piece_ crossover one-shot) Vegeta is the captain of an air ship and is seen wearing an eye patch and a cape with a clasp featuring the Kanji character for "vegetable." Trunks, Usopp, and Nico Robin are members of his crew.

Carlos Rivera is a Venezuelan bantamweight boxer who ranked #6 in the world. The reason he is called a "A King Without A Crown" is because there is a rumor that the world champion is too afraid to fight him. Yoko Shiraki brings Rivera over to Japan to help Joe recover.

~! After his 12-Round Match with Joe, Carlos goes to Mexico City to fight the Champion Jose Mendoza, but is knocked out in the first round, 1 minute and 33 seconds in. After the match, his manager, Robert, claims, “Carlos Rivera did not lose against the champion, Jose Mendoza. He was already broken by an unknown Japanese boxer named Joe Yabuki” confirming that Carlos was left punch drunk after his match with Joe. Examinee #16 during the Hunter exam. Tonpa is nicknamed the "Rookie Crusher" by other candidates with more experience taking the exam. Tonpa has taken the exam for 35 consecutive terms (given that the Hunter exam can only be taken by someone who is at least 12, it means that Tonpa either was lying, sneaked in the first two times, or that the age limit is a new rule), but has somehow never managed to pass. He often brags of his experience to those taking the Hunter Exam for the first time and then offers them a helping hand. Of course, this is merely subterfuge as he takes a perverse pleasure in sabotaging their attempts to get the license.

The second pilot of Getter Robo, Hayato is portrayed as a psychopathic yet highly intelligent delinquent. He is first seen as the leader of a student revolutionary group, but is captured by the Saotome Research Institute after a fight with Ryoma and pulled into the Getter Robo storyline, initially as the pilot of Getter-2. He is the only character to have appeared in every Getter Robo series and has fulfilled many roles, from being a regular teenager to an adult colonel and an aging scientist.    Like the other Getter Robo characters, his portrayal is drastically different in the 1970s TV series. While still a rebel and a loner, he is far less cold and cruel.

Thors is the father of [Thorfinn](https://anilist.co/character/10138), a Jomsviking general whose phenomenal combat prowess earns him the epithet &quot;The Troll of Jom&quot;. Thors grows weary of battle after the birth of his children, fakes his own death, and retires to become a pacifist farmer.

Thors is largely considered the greatest fighter to appear in the series, having defeated the likes of Askeladd and [Thorkell](https://anilist.co/character/17440) in single combat. Such was his strength that Floki was unwilling to engage him directly, even with an entire squadron of Jomsviking warriors. Unlike his son, Thors has no explicit or implied historical basis.
