Sumomo is a mobile persocom - which is the persocom equivalent of a laptop computer. She is programmed to be cute and tends to be quite hyperactive, for example her morning &#039;wakey wakey exercises&#039;.     At the beginning of the series, Shinbo uses Sumomo in an attempt to analyze Chi, and Sumomo is nearly broken in the process, requiring new main memory, and in the manga, a new video card as well. Once Kotoko joined Hideki, she quickly came to the conclusion that Sumomo was crazy, with her nonsensical ways. Sumomo&#039;s password after being received by Hideki is Chobits (case sensitive) and ちょびっツ　(case sensitive because of the katakana at the end)

A young man that joins the military with Shiro. He becomes one of Shiro's best friends and frequently writes letters to his beloved B.B. He wants to pilot a mobile suit but is placed as an assistant for Eledore's radar and sonar reconocence.

Haro is a small sphere-like robot. Haro has appeared in multiple Gundam stories throughout the years, starting in the original series as Amuro and later Fraw Bow's sidekick, and Haro has maintained both the role of sidekick / support character as well as the status of Gundam mascot ever since.

Paiway Underberg is the ship nurse under Duelo, though her uniform looks more like a frenchmaid's outfit than a nurse's. Prior to the appearance of the men she was the ship's only doctor. During the first season, she spent her free time trying to exploit the bad habits of the male crew members and would secretly keep tabs on the men and either jot down notes in her journal or take pictures with her camera, which she refers to as "Pai-checks." This would soon pay off and sparked a raid that got all the men, including the drifter Rabat, locked up for a while. However, she stops this after a combination of seeing Dita's reaction to Hibiki's imprisonment and the discovery that men and women were of the same species, but she resumes her activities anyway. A young girl whom Shannon finds outside a town. She claims to have no parents, and said she was waiting for somebody, though she did not know who it was. She follows Shannon home. After a few strange occurrences involving her, Zefiris informs Pacifica that Suin is a Peacemaker in a compressed state (the human girl form) and, on top of that, an artillery type that can cancel out the Dragoons&#039; presence. As if to prove this, as soon as Zefiris says that, Pacifica sees Zefiris disappearing, just as Suin walks into the room. Suin was compressed because artillery types were powerful and dangerous, so to keep them in a more stable condition, Cz was compressed as Suin. Galil, it turns out, was supposed to pick Suin up at the bridge and release her true form, but was eliminated by Zefiris before he could. Steyr went in his place to seek Suin out, finding her with Pacifica and finally &quot;unzipping&quot; her compressed form, causing her to revert back to Cz, the Peacemaker. There was in fact, some foreshadowing about Swin&#039;s true identity. In episode 8, when Shannon said that she might be killed if she stayed with them, she replied &quot;I don&#039;t die.&quot; (which is in in fact true as Peacemakers are immortal). A Tachikoma is an AI walker/roller tank in the Ghost in the Shell universe, appearing only in the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex sub-universe. They are best described as a &quot;spider type multi leg/multi ped combat vehicle equipped with artificial intelligence&quot;, possessing the ability to act as both personel transport units and mobile weapons platforms.

Design: 
Tachikoma are the size of a small car, and are of a middle-blue colour, with four &quot;eyes&quot; fitted on the surface of their bodies. Three are on the &quot;head&quot; and one is beneath the abdomen. Each eye has three pinholes, possibly for triangulation. These eyes sometimes become expressive in the typical anime style. Tachikoma are controlled by individual AIs, are capable of speech and generally exhibit a childish, curious, joyful and active personality, although they are consummate professionals in the field. They normally operate as independent units and receive orders from human agents, but they can also be directly piloted from a cockpit in their abdomen.  Tachikoma have four legs and two arms. They can move by walking, or they can drive at high speed by using the wheeled footpads on each of their four legs. They are apparently street-legal (presuming no legal exemption for Section 9). Each wheel appears to be angled and omnidirectional, allowing the Tachikomas to move in any direction with their holonomic drive system. Other abilities of the Tachikoma include jumping great distances, sticking to vertical or inverted surfaces, engaging a thermoptic camouflage mechanism, and grappling/rappelling using their adhesive string launchers. Tachikoma maintain control of their legs while using wheels to drive down a road, and shift their weight around turns. They can also roll briefly on to two legs while driving to avoid an obstacle or pass through a narrow space. To make balance easier, they can move their heavy abdomens with a ball joint. Their movements when walking and jumping were modelled on a jumping spider. Almost all of the Tachikomas&#039; physical abilities are showcased in Episode 2 of Stand Alone Complex, &quot;Runaway Evidence &ndash; Testation&quot;.    Standard Tachikoma equipment includes a 7.62x51mm light machine gun mounted in the right arm, a secondary weapon hardpoint in the &quot;snout&quot; (usually a 50mm grenade launcher, capable of launching both explosive and gas grenades, but which can be replaced by a six-barrelled 12.7x99mm Gatling gun), a universal cybernetic connector on an extensible, prehensile cable in the left arm, and a built-in thermoptic camouflage system. 

AI:  
Tachikoma&#039;s are gifted with very childlike AI, unexpected of a machine in a governmental special forces team, which gives rise to much of the comedy relief in Stand Alone Complex. Though they possess individual artificial intelligence, every night they are synchronised, so they start the next day with identical consciousnesses that are each the sum of their total collective experience &amp; development. This leads to identity confusion, since each Tachikoma has the same memories.     ~!It is explained in the last episode of the first season that it is their curiosity that lets them be different from each other. It is curiosity that saves a personality from dying when linked with others.    A notable paradox arises from this synchronization, however. Though the Tachikoma have identical memories, their personalities and opinions are distinct. During the Stand Alone Complex series, an episode is entirely devoted to discussions among them.    These separate personalities reveal three &#039;main&#039; Tachikoma. The first one considers itself Batou&#039;s personal Tachikoma, which has a personality of a hyperactive child. It is curious, inquisitive, and tends to get many &#039;bright&#039; ideas. It is special, given that he pampers it with natural oil and refuses to operate any other while on assignments. The second major Tachikoma (possibly favored by Major Kusanagi) is more logical, acting as the straight man to the first. The third Tachikoma is somewhat slower than the others and will at times have a difficult time keeping up with the other Tachikomas when discuss about such in-depth topics such as what it means to be &quot;alive&quot;. There is also a fourth Tachikoma with a distinctive personality, who is a bookworm and an intellectual. Its body was taken apart during the experimentation incident, but its AI has presumably been saved for further analysis.    At one point in the series, while all but three of the Tachikomas are either locked away in a lab for study or dismantled for study, three surviving Tachikoma units abandon their civilian posts to assist the Major and Batou. This is the only time in the series where the tachikoma vary in appearance, as a few units have been disarmed for either study or to be sold off to civilian contracts. Batou&#039;s unit remained mainly unchanged, although it was given a set of decals to represent its new ownership, and its liquid wire launchers had been removed. The other two have been more extensively repainted and or modified, with the remaining laboratory unit&#039;s cockpit having been replaced by a much smaller diagnostic module, and the other contracted unit now bearing a construction color scheme. Only the blue tachikoma retained it&#039;s grenade launcher.!~

A-20 is a young female Twin Blade in The World whose carelessness and motivations for playing help Mimiru to realize her own reasons for playing the game. A-20's reasons for joining the game are revealed to be its popularity among her classmates and her desire to complete a difficult dungeon to prove her valor. In real life, "A-20" is her student number at school, along with A-1 through 19; her classmates who are only mentioned. A young girl with no known living relatives, Harriet &quot;Hattie&quot; Bartholomew still possesses a childish innocence and believes in elves and fairies. She likes to wear a top hat and is often seen flanked by her fiercely protective pet dog Walton. Somehow, she is able to communicate telepathically with Frank, whom she calls &quot;Yousei-kun&quot; (Mr. Elf). Due to a traumatic childhood incident, Hattie becomes paralyzed with a neurotic fear at the mere sound of gunfire.

Kuro is a black cat with huge ears which follows Kanako. 

Kaolla is very interested in researching it and Sarah calls him "witch cat" after knowing about Kuro's unusual abilities to fly (using its oversized ears) and talk. In the anime, Kuro can talk, but in the manga, instead of Kuro being able to talk, it is just Kanako's ventriloquism. It carries a bell on its tail, which sounds as characteristic when Kanako appears.

Mo&eacute;-chan is an automaton with broken legs, built more than 100 years ago and bought by Tokyo Imperial University while she was on display at the Paris World's Fair in 1900. Urashima Keisuke purchased her from the university in hopes of repairing her.    Mo&eacute;-chan was a great friend of Keisuke, Granny Hina's father and great-grandfather to Keitaro and Haruka. Keisuke had promised to fix Mo&eacute;-chan's legs; but like Keitaro, Keisuke had a poor memory and eventually forgot about Mo&eacute;-chan. Keitaro would later make the same promise to fix her. With the help of the Hinata residents, particularly Kaolla's help, he ultimately fulfilled his promise and Mo&eacute;-chan was able to walk again.

Hovers around in an innertube and on occasion plays a miniature guitar. Due to [Kei](https://anilist.co/character/2908) fearfully striking 'him' during an initial escape attempt when Mizuho revealed her true identity, Marie's programming became scrambled, endangering both Kei and Mizuho. Communicating partly through indistinct sounds and through gestures, Marie is essentially a portable link to the ship's operating system.

A friend of Wakaba, Sanae is a weak and shy girl who joins the trip to Kanenone because her doctors believe that the fresh country air will be beneficial to her health. Her need to take medication on a regular basis is highlighted in several episodes.        Sanae has a much younger appearance than the rest of the major female characters. This draws the attention of Tenjin, who has a fetish for "little sister" types. Unfortunately for Tenjin, his unusual and over-enthusiastic advances only manage to frighten Sanae away from him. A shinigami in training, Risky takes to her job quite gleefully. She is robed in a skull studded black outfit with a jewel in the center, long black stockings, and a large hat that looks like a cross between a ten gallon hat and a stereotypical witch's hat. She has black hair and dark blue-grey eyes. She wields a scythe that, among other things, can take the souls of the living who are filled with sadness, present illusions dealing with the cause of the current target's sadness, and act as a microphone. Risky isn't as cruel as she leads people to think, since she tried to undo the damage she did in Moe's room when she first arrived when she was given a new assignment.

Rinna is a transfer student from the Ultima foundation, and considers [Shipon](https://anilist.co/character/194) to be both a friend and chief rival. Rinna is a few years younger than Shipon and most of the other students, but because there are few children at Ultima (it being the newest of the foundations, and still incomplete), she has little to do with herself but play with simulators. As a result, she's far better at piloting and zero-G movement than most people years older than her.

[Mizuho](https://anilist.co/character/2763)'s younger sister, whom she is very close to. She initially refused to accept the fact that [Kei](https://anilist.co/character/2908) is married to her, but she eventually warms up to him.

Mistral has a goofy and fun personality. She likes hanging around Kite because of his special ability, and wants to see it as much as she can. Mistral&#039;s pleasant attitude goes with her wherever she travels in The World. She may appear childish, but her true self is reliable and dedicated.    Despite her childish looks and behavoir, she is actually a married and a mother to be. Having to leave the dothackers for a time due to her unborn daughter. Another Birth reveals she and Blackrose were very close, with Blackrose seeing her as a big sister she could reveal all her secrets to,and the two kept in touch whether inside or outside the game through phonecalls and offline meetings.    In the Legend of Twilight manga Mistral plays a minor role, only being present when it&#039;s revealed she is Mireille&#039;s mother and the one who arranged for Kazu (BlackRose&#039;s little brother) to come to Shugo&#039;s aid.

The youngest and yet most intelligent maid in the Hanaukyo mansion. Cynthia rarely spoke during her younger years, and as she's transferred into the mansion she only communicates with loud breathings. Due to a tragedy in her younger years, her personality split, and she gained the alter ego Grace, who shows up at night when Cynthia's asleep to take care of computer and security maintenance. Cynthia enjoys tagging along with Taro, and she is the one to show him around the mansion as he first enters.
