H&auml;nsel and Gretel are two unnamed Romanian identical twin orphans, suggested to be male and female, who were abandoned in a state-run orphanage due to the Nicolae Ceauşescu regime&#039;s ban on abortion. As a result of being repeatedly forced to participate in paedophilic snuff films in which they are either raped or forced to murder other children, the twins eventually became deranged, sadistic killers just to survive. Unknown to most people, &quot;H&auml;nsel&quot; and &quot;Gretel&quot; are actually two personalities alternately adopted by the two children, both of whom suffer from Dissociative Identity Disorder, meaning they swap being &quot;H&auml;nsel&quot; and &quot;Gretel&quot; with each other from time to time. There is also slight implications that they could be incestuous, though this may be due to the abuse they&#039;ve suffered.    In combat, &quot;H&auml;nsel&quot; wields a sharp, wicked-looking battle axe while &quot;Gretel&quot; uses a M1918 Browning Automatic Rifle that appears to be taller than &#039;she&#039; is. Both also carry additional sidearms. While they were mentally deranged, H&auml;nsel and Gretel were also cunning, having used two other children as decoys to distract the &quot;Hotel Moscow&quot; ex-soldiers and using money to distract Eda. They were also not above using their innocent appearance to deceive their enemies.     ~!  As revenge for killing Balalaika&#039;s men, H&auml;nsel is shot from a distance and left to bleed to death in one of Roanapur&#039;s parks, while Gretel manages to escape and eventually boards the Black Lagoon of her own volition. Due to Rock&#039;s kindness, she begins to shed her psychotic personality and takes a genuine liking to him. However, just as Gretel starts to begin a normal life, she is gunned down by a hitman, hired by Hotel Moscow.    Within the story of Black Lagoon, H&auml;nsel and Gretel may be two of the most evil characters, as they live for nothing other than random, senseless acts of murder. However, they may also be the most tragic characters as they believe that these acts of violence will prevent them from being harmed by others.    The characters&#039; names are taken from the German fairy tale, H&auml;nsel and Gretel. Many of the series&#039; characters compare them to a similar pair of disturbed, sadistic twins from the American film The Shining. In the manga, the song sung by Gretel to Rock on the Black Lagoon is called &quot;Midnight, the Stars, and You,&quot; the song used in the ending credits to &quot;The Shining.&quot; In the anime, she sings &quot;The World of Midnight,&quot; made for the anime and sung by Minako &quot;mooki&quot; Obata.  !~

Chiharu Mihara is a friend and classmate of Sakura Kinomoto, as well as a fellow member of the cheerleading squad. Chiharu is often in charge of stopping Takashi Yamazaki when he starts spinning lies about the history of objects and events. Though she is regularly seen jokingly strangling him or dragging him away by his collar, they have been friends since kindergarten and are a couple. ~!At the end of the series when Sakura is struggling to come to terms with her feelings for Syaoran, Chiharu gives her advice about love and acknowledging her true feelings.!~

In the anime adaptation, Chiharu and Yamazaki's relationship is less clearly stated, but she gives him chocolates for Valentine's Day, and they are frequently seen together both in and out of school. ~!When Sakura is shown a world where everyone connected to the cards has lost their feelings for the one they love the most, Chiharu and Yamazaki are shown reacting to one another as virtual strangers.!~


Commonly known as Tilel, she is Wolx&#039;s Edel Raid. Despite the fact that he usually treats her horribly, Tilel sticks by him and has proven that she&#039;s willing to sacrifice her life for him. All that&#039;s known about her past is that she lived a harsh life on the streets before Wolx picked her up; the reason he was the first one to care about her is mainly why she&#039;s so in love with him.     In battle, Tilel is a &quot;Djinn Defender&quot;, creating up to twelve plate shields that instinctively protect Wolx from damage. She can also transform into a giant hammer that can shoot out some of the plates as weapons.

A 13-year-old cat-girl, pet and childhood friend of Van. She is jealous of Van's increasingly close relationship with Hitomi, but eventually comes to accept Hitomi; and becomes a loyal friend to her.   An orphan, she has since devotedly followed Van since she was picked up by the Fanelian courts. She has shown to have a knack for finding long-lost and valuable items, such as hoards of treasure or a winning lottery ticket. Owned by Kylie. Considered the youngest of all the Ham-Hams, Penelope is usually never seen without the cover of her yellow blanket (though a few seconds in the opening theme show her blanket coming off, revealing her brown fur). Although she is friendly to everyone, she feels particularly attached to Pashmina. Being innocent and naive, due to her age, she gets into trouble more often than most of the other Ham-Hams.   In season two, she has shown some cross-species affection for Herbert the Pig, a boy by the name of Ethan, and a rabbit at Ethan's school. Unlike the other Ham-Hams, and perhaps because of her young age, Penelope can't say anything more than 'Ookwee!' or 'Ookyoo!' ('Ukyu!' in the original version).

Quess was born as a latent newtype and its because of her unique brain and mind that defines the latter of her personality. When she wants to have something, she'll demand for it and believe it's rightfully hers even if she can't have it. Even though there are people around her to remind her about manners and respect, she doesn't listen well and people tend to tolerate her or excuse her due to the fact she's still a developing teen.

A 16-year-old girl from the moon, Kozue expresses her emotions easily and with clarity as she is honest about them. She wears her hair in twin side pigtails, making her seem younger than she is. In the flight attendant program, which she joined mostly because her friends were also enrolled in it, Kozue becomes good friends with Aoi, and by extension, Kouji and Ikumi.

An honest girl, Kozue talks to Yuuki without fear, despite his reputation. Kozue has a crush on Ikumi, and only stayed for the Dive Break because he was. She also seems to be somewhat spoiled, and often flaunts her relationship with Ikumi.

The main character, a 17 year old cosplayer, who transforms into Nurse Witch Komugi. She works for a talent agency called Kiri Pro, where she acts and endorses products (usually while wearing silly looking costumes). She can be very hyper and silly, which usually gets her into trouble with her bosses. Her nurse witch costume is a cross between a nurse uniform and a rabbit costume. The running joke of her flat chest is used ad nauseam. Also, Komugi has a crush on Kyosuke.   

Mii, the youngest sister, the 11-years-old girl is by far the most energetic and naive of the three. Her light-purple hair is often tied in a double-bun on her head, except when she cosplays as "Magical Girl Mii". 

Mii has an obsession with defining plushy things, especially girls breasts, and constantly touches things that are, especially people. Being so young she quite naive and energetic. Through she passes through time like the rest of the girls, her very naivity and energy allow her to overcome most of the jumps with ease. 

"Magical Girl Mii" was a specialized cosplay costume she had created in the episode where he met a chronically ill girl she attempted to cheer up and it apparently cost a lot of money, but Ai seemed easily able to pay for it. After this, she often wears it around and pretends to help stop evil and believes she has superpowers. ~!Later during the episode the girl collapsed from overexertion playing with Mii. Mii tried to use powers she thought she had to heal her friend. The attempt was successful, and Ai revealed to the viewers that Mii's special power was healing. However, Mii remains unaware of this for a good portion of the season, and continues to believe that she has other powers as well.!~

Sorath&#039;s younger sister. Though being the younger one, she thinks and acts in a much more mature way and teaches everything to her almost will-less brother. Their relationship is most likely incestuous; Tiriel has stated that her only goal in life is to fulfil every desire of her &#039;onii-sama&#039; and to protect him. Sakurako was the object of torment of the children she went to school with because she was born "ugly". When she confessed her love to Domyouji, he traumatized her by making fun of her looks. She was friend's with Makiko when they were still in Elementary school, but moved to Germany because of her family's business. Sakurako undergoes plastic surgery and returns to Eitoku, determined to use her new beauty to take her revenge on Domyouji by making him fall in love with her. She met Tsukushi when she asked for help at Shizuka's birthday party. She acts sweet and innocent, but lets her true colors show when she thinks no one is watching. When she hears of his growing attraction to Tsukushi, she conspires with her friend Thomas to destroy her. She has Thomas drug Tsukushi at a club and then distributes photos of the two of them in bed together around the school, causing the student body to turn on her for betraying Domyouji. When Tsukushi finds out that Sakurako is behind of this, Sakurako tells Tsukushi that she only used her in order to take revenge on Tsukasa and that she doesn't need any friends and says that ugly and average people like Tsukushi shouldn't be near handsome men like those in the F4. When Domyouji eventually refuses Sakurako's advances and sees through her plans, Sakurako becomes remorseful. She is then bullied by the whole student body because of her plastic surgery, but Tsukushi defends her. Tsukushi then says that she still can't forgive her. Sakurako also takes advantage of the situation to be near with Tsukasa when Tsukasa breaks up with Tsukushi because of her romance with Rui. But Tsukasa only pretends to be close with Sakurako to make Tsukushi jealous. At first, it's unknown whether Sakurako and Tsukushi can still be friends or not, because Sakurako becomes cruel when she is with Tsukasa. Shunran is one of four siblings trying to resurrect the leader of the Cat Family. Her powers include being able to cast illusions, and her three other siblings are Shuuran, Karan, and Touran. Shunran tries to get revenge on what the sons of the dog general did to the panther king. She shows up with other panthers around the time when InuYasha was sealed to a tree.   Fifty years later, the panther tribe returns for the priestess who has the jewel shards, Kagome. While the other three panthers capture her, Toran challenges Sesshomaru to a battle at a castle that the panther tribe took over and placed a barrier. Eventually, as the moon went over their master&#039;s corpse, she gathers the villagers, Kagome, Miroku, Sango, and the sacred jewel shards in front of their master. The dog general&#039;s sons show up, and as the panther king is asking for souls, he kills Shuran and Karan.  After the panther king is killed again, the other panther divas come back to life by Sesshomaru&#039;s sword, and the panther tribe returns to where they lived.

Although she appears to be a normal, cute, human girl in Chinese-style clothing, she actually belongs to the Yato Clan, one of the strongest and most bloodthirsty of the Amanto races. The Yato is said to have "transparent" skin that is highly sensitive to sunlight, so Kagura carries a purple parasol at all times. The parasol is also the Yato clan's weapon of choice; Kagura's is bulletproof and fires bullets from its tip. Because of her Yato blood, she is super-strong and can stop a speeding motor-scooter with one hand. Although stronger than most humans, she cannot control her strength perfectly. Her super-human strength makes her extremely bad with pets. Most of her pets, with the exception of Sadaharu, have met with an untimely demise at her hands.  She is also extremely flexible and fast; capable of catching multiple speeding bullets between her teeth and fingers. During a battle, she's often seen flipping through the air and performing various acrobatic feats. Due to her Yato blood, she is capable of rapid regeneration. During the Benizakura arc, she is seen healing from a gunshot wound almost overnight.  Kagura also has an unusually strong appetite. She is able to consume large quantities of food within a matter of seconds. Nevertheless, her tastes are endearingly plain. Sukonbu, rice, and eggs are among her favorite foods.  Her immediate family consists of her father, Umibouzu, a widely recognized alien hunter, her mother, who is deceased, and her older brother Kamui, once presumed missing who is now involved with the space pirates Harusame.  She came to Earth to earn money for her family. She found work fighting for a gang, but when they ordered her to kill her target, she ran away. Not long afterward, she met Gintoki and Shinpachi when Gintoki accidentally ran her down with his scooter. After they helped her to make a clean break from the gang, she intimidated Gintoki into hiring her. She now lives at the Yorozuya and sleeps in Gintoki's closet, like Doraemon.  Kagura and Gintoki share an odd father-daughter-like relationship. Together with Shinpachi, the three of them make for a strange, dysfunctional, yet tightly knit family. Kagura is very protective of Gintoki. Although, she herself has gotten into many fights with him, rarely does she let anyone else pick on him. She seems to trust wholeheartedly in Gintoki's ability and strength. Even in sticky situations, she has no doubt that Gin-chan would come to save her. She has a tendency to imitate Gintoki's bad habits, and would often quote the bad advice he gives her. Some of her lines start with "Gin-chan says..." or "Gin-chan told me..."  Kagura is also somewhat of a tomboy. She is often seen partaking in games with various neighborhood boys. Although her candid manner of speech often causes them to shun her, she doesn't seem to mind. In fact, she has no problem at all with forcing her way into their game. In battle, she has proven to be bull-headed and a sore loser. Like Gintoki, and probably because of his influence, she is not above resorting to petty tricks and manipulation to get the better of her adversary. Unlike many conventional manga heroines, she doesn't display the same consciousness toward decorum, table manners, ​and physical appearance. Puking, cussing, picking her nose, spitting, fighting, and scratching herself is common behavior for Kagura.  She regards Okita, captain of the Shinsengumi, as a rival. She detests him, and appeared to be disgusted when she previously mentioned (about Okita), that "he definitely likes me", but as that hasn't been brought up since, it is uncertain if it should be considered canon, that he apparently likes her.  According to the OVA, Kagura is the first and only Weekly Shonen Jump girl to vomit on-screen. To date, she has induced herself to vomit on several occasions. She also has an uncanny knack for seeming calm or detached during high-tension situations; in episode 5, she slept through a car-chase. Her appetite knows no bounds, and she is especially fond of sukonbu.  In Japanese, Kagura speaks in a stereotypical dialect that is associated with Chinese immigrants. In the English-translated manga, she punctuates her sentences with yup, uh-huh, nope, and the like.   ~!In the Yoshiwara in Flames arc, Kagura meets her older brother, Kamui who abandoned her because she was weak in his eyes.!~ In the last Gintama character popularity poll, she came in 6th place.

Mariko Konjo is a cheerleader from Seisyun High School. Mariko is a common Japanese name meaning "child of true benefit." This could be a reference that she benefits the teams she cheers for and ensures that they do not lose, or simply that she's vain, trend-obsessed, and used to the spotlight.
