Jack King, brother of Mary King, is the pilot of the American army's super robot, Texas Mack.  Brave, determined, and armed with Texas Mack's (Too Much) High-Power Rifle, Jack King always fights for the good of the people.   Jack is also one of the most astounding examples of an Engrish speaker, as his English is spoken with a Japanese accent and his Japanese is spoken with an American one.

The thirteenth generation of renegade samurai, beginning with the legendary figure Ishikawa Goemon (石川 五右衛門). He has a sword called Zantetsuken (斬鉄剣), meaning "iron-cutting sword", which can cut through almost anything. In one episode during the TV series Goemon admitted that his sword cannot cut konnyaku, which is a starch-based jelly made from yams, because the blade just gets stuck in it. The Zantetsuken is usually used to cut inanimate objects, which Goemon considers unworthy of his blade and often mutters his catchphrase "once again, I have cut a worthless object" after doing so. Objects cut by Zantetsuken will fall apart a couple of seconds after he sweeps through them with his blade. He is usually quiet and participates in Lupin's exploits less frequently than Jigen.

As the Allies move ever further into Germany during the final stages of the war, Harlock helps the peace-loving Tochiro to escape to the safety of Switzerland. He passes to Tochiro his own Revi C-12/D optical sight, which he has superstitiously carried with him from plane to plane, referring to it as &quot;my heart and eyes.&quot; Lamenting the circumstances of the world at that time, which prevent these two like-minded, honorable men from pursuing their dreams, he turns back from the sanctuary of Switzerland and leads the approaching French partisans away from his friend, knowing that a pirate must always face up to his actions.
