He appeared to be [Ganryu](https://anilist.co/character/5288/Ganryu)'s second in command, as he never left his side until a battle occurred. 

Riyan is a focused individual, as he primarily focuses on his objectives whenever he is given a mission, even going as far as reprimanding Jai for wasting time talking when they were assigned to capture a soul reaper. Riyan is also fiercely loyal to Ganryu, addressing him as the rightful ruler of the Soul Society, and growing agitated whenever anyone does not show him the same courtesy. Riyan wields a unique blade that can open and split its blade apart, making it appear similar to fan blades. Riyan can rotate the blades at high speeds, enabling him to block attacks. He also has a rocket-pack on his back that uses Blanks souls as ammunition to to fire numerous powerful explosive projectiles at his opponents.



Dosu is a genin from the Sound Village, and leader of his squad. They were under the direct supervision of Orochimaru during the chunin exams. Dosu uses a sound amplifying device on his left arm, called a melody arm, to increase the vibrations he makes when he hits something, causing damage to the opponents ears and messes up their sense of balance. He is the only member of his squad to advance to the second stage in the chunin exams after defeating Choji Akimichi. When he learns that Orochimaru favors Sasuke more than him, Dosu sets out to prove himself by killing Gaara. However, Gaara's demon quickly kills him with a sweep of its giant tail.

He&#039;s first seen wrestling with E. Honda in Calcutta to win prize money. Dhalsim manages to slip away from his grip however, and attempts to mentally subdue Honda. Ryu&#039;s presence however distracts Dhalsim enough for Honda to regain control of the match and win due to forfeit.
