Based on flashbacks, it is implied that Sam once had a family (a wife and daughter), that are now dead as he carries around his daughter's doll with him. He saves Charlie and Shirley from falling debris at the area Jo was fighting Lava, one of the "Genocide Angel" candidates. Afterward, he adopts all three children while Meg and Jo leave their own way.

Despite clearly over-ranking him, Trunks is hesitant to participate in a match with Otokosuki due to his overt homosexuality.!~  Dragon Ball GT:  ~!Otokosuki later appears during the Black Star Dragon Ball Saga of Dragon Ball GT, where he is now an employee of Capsule Corporation. A taciturn bounty hunter  who was hired by Douglas Rosenberg. He is a retired mercenary. In the later Episodes Ricardo and Nadie find themselves working together in order to thwart Rosenberg&#039;s plans to capture Ellis. He is generally quiet and would do anything to protect Lirio. It is possible that he either lived or worked in Australia as he is teaching Lirio to use a boomerang in the last episode.

He was Father Cornello's right-hand man and a devout follower of his religion. Shortly after Ed and Al's arrival in Lior, Cornello explained to Cray that Ed was in fact a State Alchemist, and was most likely in Lior for reconnaissance purposes. Consequently, Cornello ordered Cray to eliminate the Elrics in the name of their god, but he failed when a shot meant to take off Alphonse's head only revealed his empty armor. During the siege of Lior, Cray was devoured by Gluttony when he looked for Cornello and found the Homunculi instead.    Cray's skeleton can be seen in Gluttony's stomach near the end of chapter 50.

The husband of Izumi Curtis, an enormous muscular man who works as a butcher in the town of Dublith. He is a man of few words and does not question the judgment of his beloved wife, even after she tried to resurrect their infant son when the child died.    Like Izumi, he cares deeply for the Elric brothers and also dislikes the military. In the manga, when greeted by Fuhrer King Bradley, he ignores the Fuhrer&#039;s inquiries and offer for Izumi to become a State Alchemist, but ends up befriending Major Alex Louis Armstrong in a muscle flexing contest. Strangely, in one episode of the anime, he is seen sleeping with both eyes open.    He also becomes friends with Winry Rockbell.

Two large twin brothers who both have the same name as they come from a culture that named twins with the same name. Both brothers tend to finish each others sentences. Because they look identical, some of their teammates are confused on which is the older and younger brother.   In the manga, only one of the Nabuu brothers appears (as a minor character with no lines), since the other brother was killed by Ranguren in Ga-Rei Zero. The only Nabuu left was also killed trying to save Fujiko Mine when the Juugondou attacked the Ministry.

Cuba is a good-humored, heavyset man with strong emotions who speaks in a Kawachi dialect. He is often seen wearing bright colored Hawaiian looking shirts, shorts, and sandals with his dark hair tied back into dreadlocks.  He loves ice-cream and smoking Cuban cigars, but hates America.   He mistakes Canada for America often, and ends up beating him up. Despite this, the two are on good terms. In Ginmaku Hetalia Axis Powers: Paint it, White, Cuba and Canada were shown working together to help provide aid to the people affected by the Pict.   Although his official human name has not been decided, Hidekaz Himaruya revealed in a blog post that he has considered "Carlos," "Ericemdo," "Jajuan," and "Máximo" as possible first names with the possible surname "Machado." 

A black man from Detroit. At first, he displayed a very fatalistic attitude, and was devastated by the realization that civilization had been all but destroyed. During his time away from the group, Ron appears to have changed his attitude regarding life and death, and decides that he prefers to fight to protect his own life and the lives of his fellow survivors as long as he can before they die. Gedatsu was one of Enel's priests who punished criminals with the Ordeal of Swamp during Enel's reign. He is a major antagonist during the Skypiea Arc, and later the central character from Gedatsu's Accidental Blue-Sea Life Cover Page Serial. He now works at Ukkari Hot-Springs Resort. 

Formerly the Seventh Fist of Ragnarok and currently a captain for the Shinpaku Alliance. Thor is a very tall and well-built young man with a fat, yet very muscled physique and has short black hair and dark sideburns that stick out. He typically is seen wearing a sleeveless kimono to show off his muscular arms and usually doesn't wear any footwear.   He fights using a combat-sumo fighting style and joined Ragnarok in order to make his dream of making the combat-sumo style mainstream. Despite being in Ragnarok, Thor has a high degree of honor, capable of reasoning with foes, and considers upholding the rules of combat-sumo wrestling his top priority. Thor is also perceptive, even while in an imminent rage, having immediately discerned exactly who Kenichi was after their first encounter based on the information that Siegfried passed on to him. Thor believes that the Shinpaku Alliance is composed of true comrades, unlike Ragnarok, during which he believed Siegfried was the only person who was his comrade.  Thor has a strong liking for fellow Sumo Wrestlers. Such as in the D of D Tournament, he cheered for one. He also says things that most Sumo Wrestlers say. Thor is also afraid of heights, such as when he needed to jump out of a helicopter, he grabbed the side stating he couldn't do it. However, he put his fear behind him for the sake of his friends.   Thor practices a hybrid martial art heavily based on traditional sumo. An interesting note about Thor is that he was never trained by any master in combat-sumo, yet he achieved his level by pure hard work and training. Takeda Ikki even said that Thor, who achieved his level without a master is "simply beyond belief", demonstrating that underneath his supposed stupidity, he shows ability through his determination and hard work as a martial artist. Thor would later receive some training from Kugatachi Danki, greatly boosting his already formidable fighting skills.

One of the men who works under Tsujido, he is a big, tall, bear of a man, and doesn't talk as much as his partner, Niihari. Makabe tends to be more professional in getting the job done. Baybars is the Duke of Khartoum in the New Human Empire, and the Commander of the Imperial Janissaries, the Household Guard of the Empress.    A large man who serves as the bodyguard of the Empress, Baybars has been shown to be an aggressive and skilled fighter. He is first seen leading a group of Palace Guards to arrest Ion Fortuna, and later appears to intercept Abel's uninvited excursion into the palace. Baybars is a loyal subject of the Empire, and has even been known to show a certain amusement or enthusiasm at the idea of pursuing an enemy. Background: This gigantic, dark skinned man is the chief of the Yeniceri (Janissary),       the Empire's Palace guard. He acts as Mirka's bodyguard and is never seen smiling. 

A Japanese spell caster, who wears a black suit. He uses a magical crossbow, an azusayumi, which amplify the power of his spells. He appears in the 5th novel and tries to capture Index as he seeks the contents of a Chinese spell book in her mind to save a woman he loves, who has been cursed to die.

A skilled samurai who has made his living by entertaining people. Because of his skill in battle and acrobatic ability (among them the ability to pull arrows out of the air and dodge other attacks) Kambei makes him his "left hand man" in defending the village. Gorobei is one of the more lighthearted characters found in the anime, often making light of rather serious or dangerous situations. He admits at one point to believe that dying is losing and living is winning. Gorobei seems to have a bloodletting fetish of some sort, based on his reaction in two of the episodes.    ~!During the final skirmish, the bandit leader fired his gun at a weakened Kambei, but Gorobei intercepts the bullet with his sword. Unfortunately, the bullet detonates an instant later, mortally wounding him. Kambei blames himself for what just happened, saying he has "stolen his life", after which Gorobei dies a moment later.
