Mason Ordrosso in the manga  Chronos Number XII. Mason is the eldest member of the Time Guardians. Although he never participated in a single battle in the series itself, he is the most wise and experienced out of all the Time Guardians. It is explained in the manga that he was the lone survivor the last time the Chronos Numbers fought against Tao-users. He only appears in the final part of the manga, witnessing from afar the explosion of the castle with Belze.  Mason Ordrosso in the anime  In the anime, Mason is radically different because he is later revealed to be working against Chronos in secret. He takes part in the planning the Chrono Numbers' missions from the start of the series, but is not particularly important until the final part of the story, when he reveals that he has been planning a conspiracy against Chronos for 20 years, since the end of the Taoshi War. During the war, Mason turned to the side of the Taoshi and learned the Ultimate Tao Technique from a Sacred Taoshi (though this seems to only be a powerful energy blast). He plans on using Eve to activate Eden to achieve "World peace", which actually involves absorbing all mankind into Eden to fuel it. Mason is the leader of the Zero Numbers, who are comprised of Emilio Lowe, Baldorias S. Fanghini, Kranz Maduke, Shiki, and Kanzaki (Doctor) (The latter two were originally from the Apostles of the Stars). Mason's unnamed Orihalcon weapon appears to be a golden suit of armor that covers every inch of his body except his face, and also includes two large swords. He is possibly the most powerful fighter in the anime series, as he defeated Sephiria and Train easily, and even Creed struggled against him, although during Mason's fights with Creed and Train, he was protected by the power of Eden. It is most likely, but not fully confirmed, that Mason was killed by Creed at the end of the anime.

Yusaku Kudo was already noted for his sharp intellect and deductive abilities at a young age. He met Inspector [Juzo Megure](https://anilist.co/character/4253/Juzo-Megure) and became a good friend and valuable adviser to him in solving very difficult cases. While he often assisted the police, Yusaku's primary aspiration was that of a writer. Quickly attracting acclaim in his early twenties as a young novelist, he encountered the girl whom he resolved to marry: [Yukiko Fujimine,](https://anilist.co/character/20372/Yukiko-Kudo) an already famed and beautiful actress. While taking her out in an expensive restaurant to make his proposal, he was involved in a murder case which he solved brilliantly, and right afterward proposed to a startled Yukiko - which she accepted _(twenty years later, his son Shinichi would become involved in a follow-up of the exact same case in the exact same restaurant, but unlike Yusaku he wouldn't be able to profess his feelings to his own love, Ran Mouri)._

Yusaku's detective stories have won international acclaim, especially his novels involving the character called Night Baron, who has become a popular cultural item. He prefers to be known as a novelist, despite multiple demonstrations of a Mycroftian tendency to solve a case before Shinichi reaches the same conclusions _(as in the OVA where Shinichi was trying to prove the alibi involving, supposedly, a black labrador dog)._ In the course of his career, he also encountered the first [Kaitou Kid](https://anilist.co/character/1747/Kaito-Kuroba) and struck a sort of competitive friendship with him; it is implied that Yusaku knew Kid's identity, but chose to chase Kid only during heists in order to foil the theft and no further.

After Shinichi becomes Conan, Yusaku learns from [Agasa](https://anilist.co/character/4162/Hiroshi-Agasa) what occurred, and stages an elaborate false kidnapping to drive home to Conan what the stakes are if he is caught by the Black Organization. He offers to take Conan to a new life in America, but understands when Shinichi refuses due to a desire for independence and feelings for Ran - though Yusaku doesn't expect that resolve to last. He and Yukiko occasionally check up on Conan, but seem content to respect Shinichi's wishes to pursue the Black Organization without their help. 

Yusaku Kudo possesses a very sharp intellect and observation skills, traits which his son inherited, though Yusaku's own abilities remain more well-honed. He demonstrates in multiple cases an ability to operate several steps ahead of both Shinichi and criminals, able to discern the truth with much few clues than his son. Despite this, he chooses to not get involved unless Shinichi/Conan appears unable solve the case alone in time to save the intended victim. His success as a novelist is to a large part based on his keen understanding of the criminal mind, as his most famous recurring character is a criminal. While he is an excellent author, he will occasionally blow off his editors in order to do other things, such as travel with Yukiko. He is very laid back and calm, never seen to lose his temper. Some might think him too laid back, as he often took his son to crime scenes before Shinichi was eleven, and showed no concern over six-year-old Shinichi dragging Ran and Agasa into a potentially dangerous area of town to investigate a code. The only time he has been shown to be caught off-guard or stressed by a situation is after the false kidnapping, when Shinichi, as pay-back for the prank, alerts Yusaku's editors to his location and they force him to make up for missing his deadlines. His less tolerable personality traits include a certain cockiness and a very bad touch at making humor.

Yusaku loves to read, and is the one who compiled the massive library of mystery fiction Shinichi read as a child. His love of Sherlock Holmes is briefly explored in the non-canon 6th movie, ['The Phantom of Baker Street',](https://anilist.co/anime/1365/Meitantei-Conan-Baker-Street-no-Bourei/) wherein Yusaku and Agasa helped develop one of the Cocoon VR modules as 19th Century London and included Holmes, Watson, and Irene Adler as non-playable characters modeled visually after Yusaku, Agasa, and Yukiko, respectively.

The School Dean and Konoka's grandfather, which likely played a role in his decision for Negi to live with his granddaughter and Asuna. What has been indicated is that he is a kind-hearted man, but extremely strict. He is also the chief of the Kanto Magic Association. The Dean’s hobby is arranging omiai for Konoka to choose a future fiancée, despite Konoka not wanting to. He even offered the position to Negi. One previous successful arranged marriage was his daughter's marriage to the chief of Kansai Magic Association (Eishun Konoe), which resulted in Konoka's birth and the easing of tensions between the Kansai and Kantō Magic Associations, which has been at odds for quite some time over the Kantō Association's adoption of western magic techniques. The first anime series suggests that he may have known Sayo when she was still alive.

Gotou Genkai is the captain of the tuna fishing boat (Kikokumaru - The Ogre) seen in episode 25 of School Rumble Season 1. He has a very large build, and caution should be taken when in close proximity. He was a manga artist before becoming a fisherman, and has published many titles. His debut title was &quot;1, 2 no Maguro&quot;, which Harima read after his fishing adventures and claimed to be boring.     Maguro is Japanese for tuna. 

A mysterious and powerful villain who is after Sakura&#039;s feathers. He is later revealed to be a direct descendant of Clow Reed and well aware of the powers of the Dimension Witch. He was the one who imprisoned the  __real__ Syaoran and created the Syaoran who is the protagonist of Tsubasa. Though he already possesses the power to cross dimensions like the High Priest of Clow and Princess Tomoyo, he seeks the power of Sakura&#039;s wings, which surpasses the power of all who can cross dimensions, and the power that lies under the ruins of the Clow Country in order to &quot;bring back a dream that has already ended&quot;.     Manga Spoilers   ~!This is later revealed to be a euphemism for bringing back the dead. He does not care on how much blood has to be shed to get that power; those he has killed (or arranged to be killed) include Kurogane&#039;s mother, Xing Huo and the real Fai. His true objective is not to obtain Sakura&#039;s feathers; rather, the scattering Sakura&#039;s memories was to provide a motive that would force her to travel between dimensions to recover them and attain the physical memories Sakura gains through her powers as she visits various dimensions. Therefore the scattering of memories and having the TRC trio accompany Sakura on her journey was a pre-planned situation created by Fei Wong in order for him to attain his wish, which apparently is to revive someone from the dead. Ryuuhei is Kouhei's grandfather and a powerful spiritualist. Kouhei lives in his household, which is located in an antique shop. He agreed to take Hazuki in out of kindness, though he appears to have other motives for it as well including ascertaining the whereabouts of his daughter Shizuru (Kouhei's mother).
