Hitomi is an ordinary school-girl with a crush on her track-team leader, Amano.  She meets and saves the life of Van, a young prince from that crossed a portal from a different world in order to slay a dragon. Transported to Van's world, Gaia, she finds her fate is intertwined with his, even if her heart still belongs to Amano and later Allen, a gallant knight who bears an uncanny resemblance to Amano. Eureka is a member of Gekkostate and the pilot of the Nirvash type ZERO, alongside her co-pilot [Renton Thurston](https://anilist.co/character/477/Renton-Thurston). 
A bit of an enigma, Eureka is a young girl who has trouble communicating with and understanding people. She speaks very calmly and directly, and due to her initial lack of empathy, often comes across as blunt. She is often perplexed by other peoples' emotions and behaviors, making her naive, especially when it comes to interpersonal relationships. 


Honoka Yukishiro is the quiet and reserved one, but that does not keep her from having her own friends and following. She can be quite strict and evil when the situation calls for it. Her alter ego is Cure White. Her specialty is the science club, where she is looked up to by the others. Honoka hasn't had many friends, but the few she has seem to be really close to her. It has also been noted that she's relatively popular with the boys, though she seems to have little interest in them. She has a love and friendship bond with Kiriya during the first season, and realized it in the second season. She lives with her grandmother and their dog, Chuutaro. Her parents are art dealers and spend most of their time overseas. They return once a year for Honoka's birthday. Despite their prolonged absences, they seem to have a good relationship with their daughter.

She lives alone in a penthouse after her parents were killed in a car crash, which Mami survived after contracting with Kyuubey. Mami is particularly focused on saving, guiding, and protecting those around her, which is a traditionally selfless perspective on the role of magical girl. She is much like a maternal figure to Madoka and Sayaka, being the eldest among them. Her name could be considered a play on the word 'mommy', further supported in the third film, where she has a companion named "Bebe". Though Mami's outward disposition is cheery and confident, Mami feels deeply alone as she has no friends to confide in as she fights.

 ~!Madoka offers to become her partner and save her from her loneliness, but Mami is killed immediately after during battle with a witch; as per Madoka's wish, at the close of the final timeline, this witch never existed, and Mami is therefore seen, alive, with Kyoko and Homura at the end of the series. According to Kyuubey, she never knew the darker truths concerning Soul Gems and origins of witches. However, after being exorcised from the doctor, the demon made a run for Nanami in the operating room. However, for some reason (perhaps Ayaka) Nanami awoke and quickly became terrified, and let loose her secret: she sent flames flying throughout the operating room, burning the demon.    Nanami is a pyrokinetic, able to convert her psychic energy into fire. When Ayaka found her, Nanami was still untrained in her power, and thus she lacks control. She likes shopping and goes into the city every week but hates carbonated drinks.

Ayumi Yoshida is a student in Teitan Elementary School when Shinichi joins her class as [Conan Edogawa](https://anilist.co/character/1742/Conan-Edogawa). Ayumi befriends Conan and convinces him to join her, [Genta](https://anilist.co/character/4251/Genta-Kojima), and [Mitsuhiko](https://anilist.co/character/4252/Mitsuhiko-Tsuburaya) in investigating an apparently haunted mansion. As it turns out, the haunting is a cover-up for an old homicide case, and due to Conan, the mystery is solved and the culprits are arrested.

Soon after, the accidental acquisition of a treasure map leads Ayumi, Genta, Mistuhiko and Conan on a hunt for a cache of stolen Italian gold coins, during which Conan saves them from getting killed by the mafia members who are also after the gold. His actions earn Ayumi's gratitude, which quickly develops into a serious crush. Additionally, after the case is resolved, Ayumi joins Genta and Mitsuhiko in forming the nucleus of an amateur detective group, the Detective Boys. Ayumi is the sole female member of the Detective Boys until [Ai Haibara](https://anilist.co/character/1743/Ai-Haibara) joins their ranks. 

Ayumi is a primarily naive and innocent little girl who enjoys adventure. She demonstrates courage as time goes on and acts as the group's cheerful spirit. She has an open crush on Conan, even dreaming about marrying him, which makes him uncomfortable. At the same time, Ayumi thinks that he has feelings for Haibara because he tries to protect her and she often sees them talking amongst themselves in private. Ayumi later becomes better friends with Haibara and she allows Ayumi permission to use the more informal term Ai-chan to address her. 

When on a case, Ayumi often makes simple observations that help lead to progress and resolution. For instance, she unlocked one of the codes from the Momotaro container the Detective Boys found in Kurashiki by deducing that it was most likely referring to one of the statues at the Oohara Art Museum: they had to walk 25 steps from the statue towards the direction it was facing. She has an eye for noticing strange details in people's appearance, like she noticed that Taiko Mejin was shaved while dressed casually, while he normally made it grow when he is not wearing a kimono.

The protagonist of the series, busty, light red haired and green-eyed and not terribly bright, but immeasurably powerful. Hakufu cares little for the politics of the series, only caring about fighting for the sake of fighting, but is staunchly against unnecessary violence and killing. Lately, however, with trouble brewing all around her she is beginning to take up the mantle of a leader to protect her friends and family. Hakufu possesses a unique gift for predicting enemy moves very accurately by reading the flow of chi (which proved useless against Ukitsu) around her opponents which occasionally makes her seem brighter than she is. She also inherited Master Chouchou's knowledge of chi magic, and, while currently unaware of this, is able to use it partially by instinct. Choushou passed it to her spiritually while Hakufu was unconscious, this is how she healed Koukin after she stabbed him and extracted the evil chi from his body. Hakufu harbors a powerful dragon as one of the Three Great Rulers. 

She was a Silpelit child of around 3-4 years old whose name is her designation number given by the human scientists at the research facility, as she does not possess a personal name of her own. She appears only in episode 10 of the anime when Kurama experiences a series of flashbacks back when he became director at Chief Kakuzawa's island facility.  Kurama's flashbacks give insight on the activities the scientists were performing on Diclonius to measure the range and power of their vectors. Everyday, Number 03 was chained up on a wall, and on a far end a machine shot small iron balls at her from different angles. The purpose of that test was to evaluate the maximum range at which each Diclonius's vectors could reach and deflect the balls.  When the experience became too traumatic for Number 03, Kurama voiced out his protest for witnessing such inhuman activities. Afterwards, the locks on Number 03's bounds were mysteriously opened up, and she went on a killing spree until she found Kurama. Number 03 had concealed the true length of her growing vectors from the research team, aiding in her escape. She immediately placed her vector on his head and thanked him in a haunting manner, before being shot dead at the head by Professor Kakuzawa with an armor piercing bullet. Several months later, Kurama's wife gave birth to a Diclonius baby (Mariko) much to Kurama's fear and astonishment. But, it made Kurama to quickly recall his near-death experience with Number 03 and finally realized that the virus is passed on through the vectors. She is the sacrifice of the female Zero pair. In contrast to Kouya's solemness, Yamato has an outgoing, vivacious personality. Their relationship is the focus of a mini-arc in volume 4.  The relationship Yamato has with Kouya is a passionate and dedicated one that becomes unexpectedly stressful for Yamato in volume 4. Her marking, which she interprets as physical proof of her relationship with Kouya, slowly fades without warning. Rika Sasaki is a classmate and friend of Sakura Kinomoto. She is considered to be very elegant and mature for her age, though she can also be shy. During the series, she is also shown to be a skilled cook and very good at crafts. During the series, Rika is affected by the Clow Cards several times.

During the series, Rika is shown to be in a romantic relationship with her teacher [Yoshiyuki Terada](https://anilist.co/character/11546). In the manga series, they are engaged to be married when she is old enough, and they frequently spend time alone together on "dates." In the anime adaptation, the engagement is removed as are many of their dates, however they are still shown to have affection for one another. Instead of being a good student, she is depicted as having trouble with her school work and her blushing around Terada is explained away as being embarrassed at having to stay after school so often.  


She was [Kouta](https://anilist.co/character/737)'s younger sister and was about 7-9 years old. She was protective of her brother and was jealous of other girls' attentions to him. ~! Kouta repressed much of his memory of her after Lucy murdered her on a train along with Kouta's father. Kouta's repression of the events leads him to believe she died of a sickness of some kind !~

Kohina Hiruko is a 10-year-old girl, who, despite her petty physique, is extremely powerful. Kohina, like her father, gives off a cruel psyche and will annihilate those that stand in her way without any remorse. She also displays a revengeful persona against those that have previously corrupted her plans or saved someone she aimed to kill. When said events happen, she loses her cool and badmouths the ones she fights, calling them weak.
