Chiba is a detective in the Tokyo district, and very often works alongside [Inspector Megure](https://anilist.co/character/4253/Juzo-Megure) and [Wataru Takagi.](https://anilist.co/character/9421/Wataru-Takagi) His main duty appears to be to obtain information outside of the crime scenes. Sometimes, he will even go out and substitute as inspector when Megure is busy on another case. Chiba can be serious, but he is shown to be a mostly light-hearted officer. He loves to eat and is sometimes shown stuffing his face, usually with burgers and sodas, but usually this is merely done for comic effect. Chiba can be very supportive, and is a big help, especially for using his size to catch criminals. He, as well as [Yumi Miyamoto,](https://anilist.co/character/28418/Yumi-Miyamoto) is very supportive for Takagi's relationship and feelings for [Sato,](https://anilist.co/character/13975/Miwako-Satou) and is one of the few officers in the Tokyo district to not get involved in [Shiratori's](https://anilist.co/character/9180/Ninzaburo-Shiratori) schemes to get the couple to break up.

This mumbling asocial girl has the ability to set up force fields around herself with her Gate of Walls (Gate of Steel in other translations). Megumi has a secret loathing for Ruriko &mdash; she is bitterly jealous of Ruriko&#039;s wealth, intelligence and popularity (which contrasts with her own state of living, being a delivery girl for a noodle shop) and hates it when Ruriko outshines her without seeming to put forth any effort. She is a member of A.E.G.I.S. but does not appear to be particularly interested in socializing with her fellow Gate Keepers. She eventually joins Reiji and the Invaders when Reiji promises to &#039;recognize her true abilities.&#039; She gains a Minus Gate, the Gate of Invasion (which allows her to invade into the minds of others), but Reiji betrays her when Ruriko becomes good again. Megumi replaces the role of Misao from the game though it should be noted whilst both characters share the same gate they both have very different personalities. Her Gate color is green. Brandy is Laura's family's dog. He is a faithful friend of the Ham-Hams, and is always ready to help them when they get into trouble.  

Owned by Kana. One of Hamtaro's best friends in the series, he has the biggest appetites of the Ham-Hams, and also has a crush on Pepper. Oxnard is frightened easily and loves to eat. Despite this and the town&#039;s disliking towards him, Pump&#039;s childhood friends, Alan, still remained friends with him. One day, however, Alan showed Pump an &Auml;RM that creates flames. Attracted to it, Pump thieved the &Auml;RM, murdered the children who bullied him, and left the village, but not before telling Alan they would always be different people. At some point, Pump joined the Chess Pieces, and, taking on the title of Halloween and chaining himself to a cross &Auml;RM, would eventually rise to the rank of Knight. As fate would have it, Halloween would fight Alan, who had joined the Cross Guard, and the fight ended in a draw. Even to today Halloween still holds a deep hatred for Alan inside of his crippled heart.

Koduck is a yellow Pokémon resembling a duck or bipedal platypus. On top of its head are three thick strands of black hair and it has a wide, flat cream-colored beak. Its eyes seem vacant and have tiny pupils. Its legs and tail are stubby, and it has cream-colored webbed feet. There are three claws on each of its hands.

Koduck is constantly stunned by its headache and is unable to think very clearly. It usually stands immobile, trying to calm its headache. However, when its headache becomes too severe, it releases tension in the form of strong psychic powers. The use of these powers produces brain waves identical to those seen in sleepers, and the Pokémon is unable to recall these episodes.

Utsubot is a plant Pokémon with a bell-shaped body. It has a gaping mouth with pink lips and two sharp teeth. Its semicircular eyes appear directly under its mouth and it has several dark green spots on its body. On either side of its body is a large green leaf. Covering Utsubot's mouth is a leaf with a long, brown, yellow-tipped vine growing out of it. The vine is flicked to mimic an animal in order to attract prey. Utsubot also produces a sweet scent to further aid in luring its victims.

A ninja muglox, who os Yamane's older brother and Yatch's cousin. Nezumi is quite caring for his sister and overprotective for her, often citing that Yatch is not a worthy partner for her. In the second half of the Golden Edition, on learning that Yamane had been possessed by Darkman, he reluctantly joined him under the name "Rat" to save his sister.
