The coach of the Kanagawa High School rugby team. He once represented Japan. After retiring, he settled into becoming a coach and started a blog, which caught the attention of Gion. His training is strict but filled with a love for his charges, and he guides the young Kanagawa High School team.

Gion Kenji is short and perpetually pissed off about it. Iwashimizu Sumiaki is tall but timid. Although it's bullies that bring this unlikely pair together on the first day of high school, it's the rugby club that will make them friends.
