Noi is the familiar of Amamiya Yuuhi, the Lizard Knight.  Noi is a rather logical being and believes it is his and Yuuhi's duty to protect the Princess and defeat the Mage's plot to destroy the Earth.  He becomes aware of the plans of Yuuhi and Samidare (the Princess) and is rather disappointed in Yuuhi's attitude towards the struggle between the Animal Knights and the Mage.  Noi is quite knowledge about the other Animal Knights (although he does not know their human-counterparts), the Mage, and other various details of the struggle.  Can only travel a short distance from Yuuhi before being teleported back to his side.  Can't be seen by regular humans.

Everything about college student Amamiya Yuuhi is average: grades, looks and his blasé outlook on life. So what happens when he awakens one day to a talking lizard, who informs him that there is a gigantic hammer in outer space, poised to split the Earth into pieces, and requests his allegiance in the fight against the forces of evil? Pretend it never happened! Unfortunately for Yuuhi, a little bit of coercion in the form of a super-powered princess prevents him from returning to his mediocre life-as-usual. 
In the adventure of his lifetime, Yuuhi will join forces with the unpredictable princess and seek out a motley crew of companions to fight back against an evil mage and his horrifyingly powerful homunculus before the Biscuit Hammer destroys the planet!

One day, unremarkable college student Yuuhi Amamiya meets a talking lizard who asks for his help saving Earth from a crisis. Before he can refuse, Yuuhi is turned into a member of the Beast Knights and given a ring that gives him the psychic power “domain control.” He is then immediately attacked by an enemy! But just as all seems lost, he’s saved by the girl next door, Samidare. 
 
But it turns out Samidare isn’t really a savior of any kind… she’s actually a demon lord who wants to conquer Earth! Drawn to her absurd strength and evil charms, Yuuhi becomes her devoted servant and acts to support her wicked schemes.
