Takatsu is a delinquent teenager. He becomes 1 of Ken's student in the last 3 episodes of the series. 

He is very arrogant and starts fights frequently with ''bad'' people so he will be seen as a hero. Ken, fearing that Takatsu might turn out the same as Ariake teaches Takatsu that he shouldn't fight selfishly. He does this by letting himself get beaten up by the Yakuza and defends himself only against them to show Takatsu. Takatsu then changes his mind after seeing Ken protecting him so he becomes a good student.

After having survived the war as a Kamikaze pilot, Ken goes on a path to become the strongest martial artist in the world. Fighting bears, bulls and countless other martial arts such as Muay Thai, Tai Chi and many more around the world.
