Folken Fanel is Van Fanel's older and only brother. Folken abandoned Fanelia after being sent out to retrieve a drag-energist as his right of passage to becoming king. He joined forces with Emperor Dornkirk and the Zaibach Empire in hopes of ending war. He is torn between his roles as commander and brother, a conflict which is show throught the story.  ~!(The Strategos or tactician of Zaibach, Folken is revealed to be Van's older brother and the original heir to Fanelia. After he failed to kill a dragon, he lost an arm to the beast and was later picked up by the Zaibach, who nursed him back to health under Dornkirk's instructions and fitted him with a mechanical arm. He originally joined the empire in hopes of realizing Zaibach's ideals of a world free of war...)!~  For all that Folken seems like a rather heartless, robotic devote of Zaibach's regime, he reveals himself to be a profoundly brilliant and compassionate man. He is an engineer, a sorcerer, a chemist, and a strategist of a caliber paralleled only by Dornkirk himself. He truly does think that what he is doing is for the greater good. 

High school student Hitomi is transported from Earth to the magical world of Gaea, where she meets boy prince Van Fanel, and is caught up in his quest to unite the countries of Gaea against the ominous Zaibach empire. On the way, she discovers an hidden ability and strives to unravel layers of mystery surrounding Van, his past, and the giant machine known as Escaflowne.

Paul Dobson, of the brothers Dobson (himself, [Michael](https://anilist.co/staff/95562), and [Brian](https://anilist.co/staff/106848)), is an accomplished Canadian voice actor, one of the many who work with Ocean Group, based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Paul is frequently cast in one of two roles: a brilliantly cunning, evil villain, or a thuggish strong guy. He also plays characters that provide some sense of comic relief, usually a minion of some kind of relatively small size.  Arguably, Paul's most notable role as a villainous character would be Naraku from InuYasha, with the manipulative Sideways from Transformers: Armada and the vicious dark-hunter Nidhiki from Bionicle 2: Legends of Metru Nui as close seconds. As the tough guy, he is recognized as the elder Enzo Matrix from ReBoot, and the unstoppable Juggernaut from X-Men Evolution. His prominent comedic roles are Myoga from InuYasha, and Howdy from Hamtaro, as well as Happosai from Ranma ½. He commonly acts alongside his brothers, such as during the hit Bionicle movies B2 and B3, in which he also played Toa Whenua (a strong-guy character), as well as during Ranma 1/2 and Hamtaro. He had voice Doctor Doom in the Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes animated series.

Some of his video game roles, he can be heard as Sgt. Dwight Boykin in Dead Rising 2. Sometime in 2011 with the release of Marvel vs Capcom 3 & Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, he reprise his role as Doctor Doom, as well as voicing Shuma-Gorath.

Victor Joseph Mignogna was born in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. He was always interested in drama, film, music,acting, and majored in Film in college. Vic spent approximately ten years acting in independent films and composing, transposing and producing music for ad agencies, TV series, and movies. 

In 1998, through a connection from a work associate at the time, Vic made his debut as Vega in "Street Fighter 2" under ADV Films. Vic enjoyed the anime dubbing experience and continued working for ADV. Soon, he landed his first main character role as Gawl in "Generator Gawl". Over time, Vic also began working for FUNimation Entertainment, and moved from Houston, Texas to Los Angeles, California to continue work there in late 2008. In February 2019, studios Funimation and Rooster Teeth cut ties with Mignogna after a number of sexual harassment allegations surfaced. Mignogna has denied the allegations and filed a lawsuit against Funimation and several individuals in April 2019 alleging defamation and tortious interference, however, the case was dismissed on October 2019 and he was ordered by the court to pay the defendants' legal fees. Mignogna lost his appeals from Funimation and their actors in 2022.

Since then, his acting career has relatively stalled, though he remains active on social media and continues to attend fan conventions. He founded dubbing studio "AM Studios" in partnership with the Anime Matsuri convention. 

__Music:__
Vic has continued his music career, releasing five albums, Selah (original piano music), Metafiction (original music, including the anime-related songs Nothing I Won't Give [Fullmetal Alchemist]) and Soldier A, saluting the generic soldiers of anime), If These Walls Could Talk (original music), a Christmas album (including 2 original songs), and Selah II (the sequel to Selah, also original piano compositions). His sixth album, which is a remix album, remixing some of his original songs and some popular songs, is set to be released in February of 2010. This album also contains Vic's English version of the Brothers Theme from "Fullmetal Alchemist" and the English version of the "D.N.Angel" opening theme, True Light, both of which are licensed.

__Roles:__
Vic has now appeared in approximately 150 anime series and video games, and has sung many English dub theme songs, most notably in the FUNimation dub of "One Piece". He is best known for his roles as Edward Elric from "Fullmetal Alchemist", Tamaki Suoh from "Ouran High School Host Club", Broly from "Dragon Ball Z", Fai D. Flowrite from "Tsubasa Chronicle", Zero Kiryu from "Vampire Knight", Spirit (Death Scythe) from "Soul Eater", Dark Mousy from "D.N.Angel", Kurz Weber from "Full Metal Panic", and Ikkaku Madarame from "Bleach". He made his directorial debut in "Claymore", in which he also plays the role of Rigaldo. Vic won Best Actor at the American-Anime-Awards for his role of Edward Elric in "Fullmetal Alchemist".

Hitomi Kanzaki is in a very depressed mood. She only wants to sleep and fade away. Her misery summons Lord Folken who sends her to Gaea. The people of Gaea think she is the Wing Goddess, who can call upon the legendary Dragon Armor called Escaflowne. On Gaea, King Van, the sole survior of the White Dragon Clan, is also in a depressed state. Swearing an oath to get his revenge on the Black Dragon Clan that oblierated Van's kingdom, he lives by the sword. Now that the Wing Goddess has finally appeared, she posseses Gaea's world fate in her heart. Escaflowne will either lead Gaea to peace or total ruin.

Oldimar Raul Schlosser is a Brazilian actor, voice actor and dubbing director.

In 2015, Raul completely retired from the dubbing industry to deal with personal issues related to his health. He only returned to the profession in 2023, having been active since then.
