Dent is one of the three gym leaders of Striaton City. He is the brother of Pod and Corn, his fellow gym leaders. He is recognized as an A-rank Pokemon Sommelier, a person who has the ability to check the compatibility and closeness between a trainer and his/her Pokemon. After being defeated by Ash in a gym battle he decided to join Ash through his journey in the Unova Region. He is the group's navigator and cook.  Dent has a love for playing detective and trains. He enjoys solving mysteries with scientific explanations, and he is a huge fan of Nimbasa City's subway system. He dislikes the Pokemon Purrloin, saying he had a bad experience with one in the past, but refuses to talk about it.  Dent's vintage Pokemon is his Pansage. He has also acquired a Dwebble, which has evolved into a Crustle, and a Stunfisk while traveling.

Pokémon Trainer Satoshi has a new plan: see the world! But first, he and his partner Pikachu are headed to the opening of the Sakuragi Institute, a research facility dedicated to uncovering the mysteries of Pokémon in every region. A Japanese actor, voice actor, singer and narrator from Saitama Prefecture.

Miyano joined The Himawari Theatre Group at the age of 7 under the influence of his older brother, yet he did not attend the class as much as he should have. After entering high school, due to the uncertainty he felt towards the future, Miyano started attending singing and dance lessons he has been skipping until now. While taking music lessons, Miyano started to discover his music style through the encounter with music produced by singers like CHEMISTRY and EXILE. Miyano's first acting job was in 1992 in Tokusou Exceedraft, where he appeared in a flashback as a child in a yakuza member's past.

In 2001, he had his voice acting debut in a live action teen drama Caitlin's Way.

In 2002, he voiced Riku in the Japanese version for the video game Kingdom Hearts. Miyano also had his first anime voice acting role the same year, voicing Akira in [Shin Megami Tensei Devil Children: Light & Dark](https://anilist.co/anime/4068/). In 2003, he voiced [Kiba](https://anilist.co/character/241/), the main character in [Wolf's Rain](https://anilist.co/anime/202/). On June 13, he released a collaboration single titled "Fight," with fellow voice actress [Romi Park](https://anilist.co/staff/95082/). The duo's single debuted on the Oricon chart at number 73.

In 2008, at the second Seiyuu Awards, Miyano won "Best Actor in a Leading Role" for his roles [Setsuna F. As they go through the Unova region, they encounter the group Team Plasma, who aim to free Pokémon from Trainers, and the mysterious N.

The 16th Pokémon movie and the 3rd "Best Wishes!" movie.

The 15th Pokemon movie and the 2nd 'Best Wishes!' movie. It will feature the legendary Pokemon Kyurem (appearing also in its new Black Kyurem and White Kyurem formes.) The Legendary Musketeer Pokemon-Cobalion, Terrakion and Virizion-will appear alongside their newly revealed 4th member, Keldeo.

One of the two Pokémon Best Wishes movies that will premiere simultaneously on July 16th. The two titles are: 
Pokémon Best Wishes! the Movie: Victini to Kuroki Eiyuu Zekrom 
Pokémon Best Wishes! the Movie: Victini to Shiroki Eiyuu Reshiram 
The stories of the two movies will be the same until Satoshi and Pikachu meet Victini but the legendary Pokémon will be either Zekrom or Reshiram.
