Akane Gushiken was an anime-only character who appeared in the Stars season. She was a new star director who was very private about her personal life. When Rei met her, however, she recognized Akane as a teacher at T.A. Girls&#039; Academy, who there used the name Sister Angela.    Akane was directing a new musical in which the Three Lights were the stars, but she was very hard on Seiya, demanding more of him than the others. She wanted to draw out Seiya&#039;s full potential, feeling frustrated because he did not perform the musical with as much heart as he did his concerts.    While he was at the studio for an extra practice one evening, Akane took a break to get some coffee, and was there confronted by Chuuko Nezu. Akane refused an interview, saying that she did not want her face to be on television, and that everything she had to say she said in the works she directed. Annoyed, Nezu revealed herself to be Sailor Iron Mouse and removed Akane&#039;s Star Seed, at which point she turned into the Phage Sailor Director. After a battle against Sailor Star Fighter, Sailor Director was turned back to normal by Sailor Moon.     Wikimoon

Like the R Season, SailorStars is divided into two arcs:<br><br>
The first arc solves some conflicts from the SuperS season, and also sees the return of the Outer Senshi, Haruka, Michiru, Setsuna, and Hotaru (now reborn as a child).<br><br>
The second arc is the actual plot from the manga. Usagi bids farewell to Mamoru, who is going to America to study abroad. In his place comes the Three Lights, an idol trio consisting of three boys, Seiya, Taiki, and Yaten. The new enemy is Galaxia, a woman who desires to rule the entire galaxy by collecting the Star Seeds of humans. Three new Senshi appear, the Sailor Starlights, who also intend to stop Galaxia without Sailormoon's help.

After graduating from the Toho Gakuen College of Drama and Music, she joined Gekidan Seinenza, a theatrical acting troupe. She is married to Daisuke Koshikawa, one of the founders of the comedy troupe Chibikko Gang. Their first child, [Shiori Koshikawa](https://anilist.co/staff/185752/Koshikawa-Shiori), has also done voice acting.
