She claims to seek to prevent a potential war by interfering with the transfer of “Laplace's Box” from the Vist Foundation to a Neo Zeon remnant group known as the “Sleeves”. 
However, when a Federation squad also sent to prevent the transfer clashes with the Sleeves, the colony is plunged into battle. 
As Banager races through the flames in search of Audrey, one other fateful encounter awaits him—the Unicorn Gundam, a pale white mobile suit that's the key to Laplace's Box.

The novel begins in UC 0001, at the very beginning of human space colonization, and is said to cover an as yet unspecified major event that influences the course of human history forever. The main story takes place in UC 0096, three years after the events of Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack.

Set 3 years after the events of Char's Counterattack, a young man is caught in a deadly conflict between the Earth Federation and Terrorist Organization "The Sleeved" as they battle for an object that is said to have changed the course of Human history.
