Keita is a student at Osaka High and is a member of his school’s boxing club. Keita is unfriendly and doesn't like to get close with others, being a lone wolf by choice. Even though he typically ignores cries for help, he usually assists others anyway using his amazing strength to accomplish tasks by his lonesome. He is obsessed with getting stronger, as noted by how he is constantly training on his punching bag or how he has a thick rivalry with strong opponents.

When the world is under attack by a monstrous and seemingly unstoppable enemy, the only way to fight back is with warriors who have already died! Sidestepping a gruesome fate in a subway crash during an earthquake, two young men and a girl find themselves recruited into the ranks of the Devil Summoners and given the ability to literally call up demons to battle against the mysterious Septenriones! The setting of Devil Survivor 2 spans the whole country of Japan. It tells the story of Japanese high-school students who receive emails from a website foretelling their friend's deaths.
