Maria is a Second  generation of sister created by Tatsuoki Furumizu. She appears much older than she truly is which suggest the rapid aging of the sisters, she is actually younger than Rihoko. Reina provided the genes for that generation of sisters so she is in fact the mother. She has an obsession for stuff animals even though she always ends up destroying them and tearing them apart. She is a strong fighter and is chosen as the wielder of the new Dual CloneBlade. She lives a troubled life trying to figure out what her purpose in life is.

Masane Amaha and her daughter Rihoko are on the run from a government child welfare agency that wants to take Rihoko away from her mother. They are caught and Rihoko is taken away. Meanwhile, Masane is attacked by an advanced weapon that can disguise itself as a human being. When faced with the danger, a strange light emits from her wrist and she transforms into a powerful being. She destroys the weapon and consequently becomes involved in a power struggle between powerful organizations, with her at the center of their attention. Because she holds the greatest power of them all, the legendary Witchblade.<br><br>

She is admired by many of her fellow actors and fans because of the fact that she has a great amount of power and strength in her singing voice, which surprises many fans due to her regularly petite stature. She was also the winner of the "Best Musical Performance" award in the first Seiyuu Awards. She was also part of the quartet Prits alongside Yumiko Kobayashi, Natsuko Kuwatani, and Hisayo Mochizuki (all four voiced characters in the anime _Sister Princess_). Her singing style comes from singing Enka since she was young.

In July 2020, she married someone from the music industry, and they had their first child on March 16, 2021.

Monica's father is from Pontevedra, Galicia, Spain, and when she was young, her family would often visit there. She would translate for her younger brother some of the European Spanish-dubbed cartoons which included anime like Doraemon and Dragon Ball Z, often imitating the various characters. Monica studied ballet, tap, and jazz, but transitioned to musical theater when was 12. She studied acting through high school as well as college at the University of Houston. She's cited voice actor inspirations from The Simpsons, Family Guy, and Beavis and Butt-head. She was working on a theater show with Jason Douglas, who suggested she audition for ADV Films. Her first voice-over role was a walla in the 1999 dub of Martian Successor Nadesico.
