Dr. Hell was the main villain of the fictional robot anime Mazinger Z. He was a brilliant, cunning and evil scientist, obsessed with world domination through his creations, the armies of Mechanical Beasts.

In most Getter Robo adaptions, he is the inventor of Getter Robo, a machine originally designed for deep-space exploration, who eventually discovers and becomes obsessed with the cosmic energy known as "Getter Rays." His daughter is Michiru Saotome and his son is Tatsuhito, all of whom work and live with him at the Saotome Research Institute. Professor Saotome is also usually the man in charge of recruiting suitable new Getter Robo pilots, often through cruel and dangerous tests of strength and will.  Getter Robo: Armageddon features the largest departure for his character, casting him as the main antagonist of the show and with a more overtly insane personality.

Alexander (&quot;Old Man&quot;) Bucock has led a distinguished military career.    In 745UC he fought in the Second Tiamat Battle.    More recently, Vice Admiral Bucock fought in the Van Fleet Starzone Battle. and the Third Tiamat Battle.

Sanzo Fudo works as a realtor, considered the "Messiah" of Kabukichou because he would help anyone to get a place to stay no matter who or what their situation was. In episode 136 he helps Madao find an apartment.

A cohort of Boss who constantly has snot hanging from his nose. Is one of the three pilots of Boss Borot and a martial arts champion.

A man eating at a Toono diner who says he would like to win the prize money for finding a kappa. 

Kyoko's overbearing father. He wants nothing more than for his 'little girl' to move back home and live with he and his wife for the remainder of her natural life. He did not approve of Kyoko's marriage to Soichiro, but was heartbroken at the loss his daughter experienced.

Sherlock's loyal companion, he is a trained doctor who returned to England shortly before meeting Sherlock. He tries his best to help Sherlock as he can, but has difficulty at times keeping up with Sherlock, both mentally and physically, being a bit overweight. Watson is a Scottish terrier.

Easily recognizable by his huge, bristly mustache, Shunsaku Ban, also affectionately known as “Higeoyaji” and/or “Mustachio”, is one of Tezuka’s longest-running characters.  Most often cast in the role of a spirited, if not particularly sophisticated, middle-aged man, he has appeared in many of Tezuka’s most important series, including (but not limited to): Lost World (1948), Metropolis (1949), Next World (1951), Astro Boy (1952-68), The Adventure of Rock (1952-54), Lion Books (1956-57), Black Jack (1973-83), The Three-Eyed One (1974-78), MW (1976-78), Rainbow Parakeet (1981-82), among many others. Short-tempered and rough, he is also warm-hearted with a burning sense of justice – perfect for his usual occupation as a plucky detective.

It is interesting to note that, even though Shunsaku Ban appears in so many of Tezuka’s series, he didn’t really create him.  As Tezuka confesses in his book I am a Manga Artist, Higeoyagi’s character design is in fact based on a doodle that a good friend of Tezuka’s drew of his own father, when both were in middle school.  Tezuka swiped it and used it in Old Man Detective, one of his early amateur works, and he soon became an indispensable part of Tezuka’s work.

Don’t miss a rare appearance by Shunsaku Ban as a young man, with jet-black hair and sans his famous mustache, in the Lion Books (1956-57) chapter entitled “The Green Cat” (1956).

Tetiola follows Marinche and the Doctor on their search for the Cities of Gold, often serving as their guide, protector and rescuer. Tetiola is completely loyal to Marinche, who he calls &quot;Madame&quot; and would do anything for.

Commander Otsuka is part of the Earth Defense Force who gives orders directly to the Crasher Squad. He also acts as a father figure and cares deeply for the squad as if they were his own children.

Gotho (pronounced &quot;Goto&quot; is a wily, 50-year old Uoodo City weapons dealer with a penchant for moneymaking schemes. He &quot;discovers&quot; Chirico hiding out in his junkyard and sponsors him into Uoodo&#039;s Battling, a popular game involving AT pilots pitted against each other while spectators gamble on the outcome. After the fall of Uoodo, Gotho travels with his companions to Kummen, where they build a nightclub to serve the EX-10 mercenary base. Gotho&#039;s off world connections also provide him with an arms trading business. Throughout his encounters with Chirico, Gotho emerges as an unlikely father figure despite his shady background.
