Spielberger, a native of the German city of Stuttgart with a wife and daughter, was a member of the Nazi Party&rsquo;s elite Waffen SS during World War II, was ordered by Alfred, at the time his superior, to be the guardian of a tableau painting titled &lsquo;The Twelve Knights Led by Brunhilda&rsquo;.  With authorizations issued by the SS, Spielberger managed to find passage onboard the U-boat U-1324 as it left the pens at Kiel; the boat already escorting Lt. Col Matsuda back to Japan-held Batavia in Indonesia (now Jakarta).    Unlike Matsuda, who openly socialized with the U-1324 crew, Spielberger rarely left his quarters.  But the only time he did, it was to voice his objection over Captain Wentzel Ahbe&rsquo;s decision to torpedo a British carrier in the Indian Ocean, stating that doing-so would not change the war&rsquo;s outcome.  Ahbe was shocked to hear Spielberger&rsquo;s tone of defeat, but continued the attack, stating that unless he heard from his superiors otherwise, he and his crew would continue to fight to the very end.     The voyage was uneventful until the U-1324 was miles from their objective.  There, the sub found that a U.S. Navy patrol was on the surface, searching for Japanese submarines.  Despite firing a torpedo to divert the patrol away, one destroyer remained above, forcing Ahbe to take the U-boat into silent running.  Then the destroyer used its active sonar, afterwhich it fired its depth charges, sending U-1324 into a nose-first dive to the ocean floor &ndash; one that it would never surface from.    After learning from his surviving crewmembers about the dire circumstances of their situation, Ahbe relieved them of their duties to face death in their own way (Matsuda had already committed seppuku by then).  After retiring to another part of the ship to contemplate his death, Ahbe met Spielberger, who demanded when they would be surfacing.  After receiving the bad news, Spielberger then told Ahbe of his mission, which was to deliver the painting he was carrying and hide it until the Nazis were once again in power.  By now Ahbe was disgusted by Spielberger&rsquo;s defeat, and told him openly that maybe his sub&rsquo;s sinking may have been God&rsquo;s will for everything his crew sacrificed themselves for, as well as his disgust of having to share a coffin with the likes of the SS officer.      Offended by what he saw as anti-Nazi statements, Spielberger then ordered Ahbe to retract everything he said, for which Ahbe continued to calmly rail at his antagonist.  Finally, Spielberger took-out his Luger and shot Ahbe twice in the head, killing him.  He then tried to commit suicide himself, but then the U-1324&rsquo;s crew, hearing the shots, charged-in to get revenge for Ahbe&rsquo;s murder.  Spielberger managed to kill three of them before getting shot himself.

Jurgens is the captain of the military airborne battleship "Izumo". While he may seem like a dog of the military he is actually quite contemplative of his job. Jurgens also is nearly always at odds with Dominic Sorel, who uses the ship for transportation and always seems have a problem with the way Jurgens does things on his ship. 

Otto Lilienthal, also known as the &quot;Glider King&quot;, appears in the first episode where he snatches Yomiko's book while she is in the Library of Congress. The Library team chases him to New York City, where Yomiko builds a giant paper airplane to engage Lilienthal in aerial combat. Yomiko and Nancy defeat him by attaching a paper grappling hook to his glider, which then crashes into the Statue of Liberty.

Genjo Sanzo appears in India, where he drains half the ocean to reveal a submerged fortress. He wields an extensible staff and can fly by floating on clouds.

Lordgenome is the ominous Spiral King, who rules the planet from his capitol city, Teppelin. An immortal human who lived for more than 1000 years so far, he cares little for people, treating the strange girls he surrounds himself with as dolls to be cast aside when they've outlived their interest to him. From Guame we find out that Lordgenome despises human consciousness and self-awareness although we are yet to be given a reason for this dislike.  When Simon and Nia finally reach him, he claims that the act of trapping the humans underground and hunting down those who live on the surface is a means he has found to protect mankind, because according to him, when the population of humans on the surface reach one million, a terrible fate will fall upon them. He also shares the fact that he and Simon share the same "Spiral" powers, before being defeated via being stabbed in the chest by Simon's Core Drill.  In episode 18, Lordgenome's memories are retrieved by Rossiu's research team, and he reveals to Rossiu the truth about the Anti-Spirals, and the reason why he forced mankind to live underground in order to control its population. It is also revealed that at one time Lordgenome had even been part of a group that fought against the Anti-Spirals, the Spiral Knights, who fought and protected the galaxy from the Anti-Spiral menace. In the end, however, the Spiral Tribe lost the war, and the Anti-Spiral Tribe (The Han-Rasen Tribe) gained control of the universe.  Lordgenome's revived head was used to control the massive spaceship Arc-Gurren. According to Leeron, the ship only reacts to him just like the Lagann only works with Simon. Anubis (アヌビス, Anubisu)is the main antagonist in Yu-Gi-Oh! The Movie: Pyramid of Light.    In the English version of the movie, Pharaoh Atem had defeated Anubis a long time ago, only for him to eventually resurface as a after effect of Yugi Muto solving the Millennium Puzzle. To that end, Anubis posseses the King of Light (Kaiba) to defeat the King of Darkness (Dark Yugi) and become ruler of the world. However, when Kaiba regains control, Anubis removes him and personally duels Yugi. However, though he lost the duel, Anubis turns into the King of Destruction and tries to kill his enemies, only to be destoryed by Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon. 

Hades is the leader of the Grimoire Heart Dark Guild, whose goal is to unseal Zeref. He seems to be calm and confident man who shows no signs of fear to his enemies, especially Makarov. He was described by Makarov as a "great Master who taught harmony and led the Guild to the proper path."

~!Hades, known as Precht back then, became the second Master of Fairy Tail after Mavis Vermilion. Some time later, in the Year X736, Precht appointed Makarov (40 years old at that time) as the third Master and his successor, much to the man's dismay. Ignoring Makarov's claims that he wasn't fit for it, he praised Makarov's love for his allies and his capability to believe, claiming that he would have made Fairy Tail into a good Guild. He then left on a journey. On such journey, he traced the roots of Magic back to Zeref, where he saw what can be called the "Essence of Magic." It is presumably around this point that he reformed his ways and became a Dark Mage, and then founded Grimoire Heart.!~

Gyuumaou is based on Niúmówáng ("Ox-Demon-King", "Ox Devil Lord" or "Ox Tyrant") a character from the Chinese novel Journey to the West.   Despite his threatening name, he is really quite harmless and fun-loving; given that Gyuu is the crest on his helmet, it is incorrectly assumed by fans that Gyuu is his surname and Maō is his first. He was somewhat demonic and frightening when his castle became engulfed in flames on Frypan Mountain.  He wreaked havoc through the village at the foot of the mountain, threatening anyone he presumed would steal his treasure, until Kamesen'nin showed him the error of his ways. He is Chichi's father and thus Son Goku's father-in-law. Gyuumaouis very strong and trained alongside Grandpa Son Gohan under Muten-Rôshi's tutelage.   As the series progresses, Gyuumaou's role lessens in the story and eventually fades into being a background character, used only for slight comic relief. Gyuumaouis also the grandfather of Gohan and Goten. In anime filler, he has a few large roles though from time to time, mainly accompanying his family and the others.

The Skull Knight is one of the most mysterious and prolific characters introduced in Berserk, a towering warrior dressed in full armor whose ornaments, especially his helmet, are shaped as parts of a human skeleton, hence his moniker, who rides a massive, ghostly black horse. Though ominous and macabre, he is an enemy of the Godhand and its acolytes, hunting down Apostles and devouring their Behelits; especially bitter is his rivalry with Zodd the Immortal, whom he was often showed to overwhelm with ease.   He wields a powerful sword that, when stuck down his throat, becomes a terrible, Behelit-coated blade capable of slashing rifts through reality itself, thus allowing the Skull Knight to move freely around the world or even between different dimensions.   This enigmatic knight saved Guts in more than one occasion, notably during the infamous Eclipse which saw Griffith become a member of the Hand of God or when Slan almost slaughtered him, though he never explained why, simply declaring that the Struggler (the way he calls Guts) has to keep following his fate. He was the wearer of the Berserker's Armor, and knew the witch Flora. During the duel between Griffith and Ganishka he suddenly appeared out of thin air through a dimensional rift, trying to land a fatal blow on the Hawk, only to see it diverted on the writhing body of the Kushan Emperor.

~!It is heavily speculated that, during his life as a mortal, the Skull Knight was in fact Gaiseric, the warlord that unified the Midland and became its first Emperor, notorious for his helmet whose shape was that of a human skull and whose ambitions 'prompted God to send four Angels' (most likely the four members of the Hand of God) to punish him.!~ 

A National Guard career officer in his forties, Captain Jekyll is a good man who stubbornly believes that Spain has the right to rule over the people of the region as best it can and highly disagrees with the acts of violence committed by the army. He often tries to help civilians in danger and as much as he detests Zorro, is forced to fight on his side occasionally.

Hitsujii is originally an arms dealer, he has gone in and out of the battlefield many times to conduct business as someone deeply involved in the ravages of war - this is what distinguishes him as a warrior. He took pride in the fact that every family in the Wetlands accepted him as one of their own after only meeting him once. Recently, he's been engrossed in a new smartphone game that doesn't suit his age. He always downloads the most popular apps and, from his senior center, has become respected in that game's world as a warrior.

The rank third fighter in Nanban.    He was a beastman that was conned by Kentei into accepting a power that would effectively strip him of any humanity that he once had. He appears within Seito&#039;s wooded lands as to trap and capture Ryubi Gentoku, but is stopped by Mouyu who was then viciously beaten by him. He then tried to force his will on Ryubi and Koumei who were saved by the returning Gakushuu and Hakufu who then co-defeated him. He however would accept even more power from Kentei, buffing him considerably and proving to be a match for everyone there until he inadvertedly triggered Ryubi&#039;s dragon which in turn shredded him into ribbons while turning her into a semi-comotose dragon.

Admiral Halberton is a bold and talented leader, respected by his enemies and admired by the people under his command, and he is prepared to make any sacrifice to ensure that the Alliance&#039;s new weapons make it safely to Earth.

Cagalli&#039;s father is the head of one of the five noble familes that rule the Orb Union. Although he was unaware that Orb was aiding the Earth Alliance in its mobile suit development program, Uzumi has resigned his position as Chief Representative as a show of responsibility. Effectively, though, he continues to serve as the leader of Orb&#039;s government. Uzumi has maintained a policy of strict neutrality throughout the war, but his nation is now being drawn into the conflict despite his efforts.
