A shrine maiden who loved InuYasha and was killed by Naraku (disguised as Inuyasha) who made the two fight fifty years prior (in InuYasha's time) to the story's start. She is brought back to life by the ogress Urasue. Although she looks alive, her body is still "dead," and she must ingest the souls of the dead to move.    ~!Her body (an authentic one) is made of mud and leaves and hosts a portion of Kagome's soul. Still under the impression that Inuyasha had betrayed her, she tried to kill him and drag him to hell upon her reunion with him. However, after learning from her sister Kaede that Naraku was behind her death and that he had turned her and Inuyasha against each other, she decides to dedicate her time in the earthly realm to kill him.  Though she acts cold towards Inuyasha and in numerous times implies that they were through, she still has feelings for him, and at the begining of the series displays jealousy towards her reincarnation, Kagome. Though, instead of acting on her feelings and jealousy, she distances herself from Inuyasha and his group and continues to pursue Naraku alone. And during her journey, she gradually casts away her bitterness and returns to her older compassionate self. She ends up saving Kohaku and Miroku's lives, and in the end dies peacefully in arms of InuYasha after being attacked by Naraku.!~

Asuka is the Second Child ('Second Children' in the Japanese versions of NGE), who pilots Evangelion Unit 02. She is from Germany, but with an American father and a half-German, half-Japanese mother. In the Rebuild of Evangelion series of movies, her name is changed to Asuka Langley Shikinami.

She takes care of the housework, such as cooking meals and tidying up the living space, on a daily basis. She also regularly cuts Ichigo's hair. She likes to play with Kon, calling him "Bostov", unaware of the fact that he's alive, which most often involves her dressing him in feminine clothes and gluing on unwanted accessories, much to his chagrin. Mira appeared in Sandshrew&#039;s Locker! as a character of the day. Wanting to use Dawn&#039;s Water Pok&eacute;mon for her own purposes, she offers to teleport everyone to Hearthome using her Abra. However, she teleports them to a flooded city and tells them her grandmother&#039;s pendant was lost in the newly-flooded lake. Everyone goes diving to recover the pendant, but they are repelled by a wild Gyarados.    After another confession, Mira explains that actually the Pok&eacute; Ball containing a Sandshrew she and her friends used to play with was left at the school when the town was flooded because of the dam.    Ash had Pikachu defeat the wild Gyarados, and Mira was reunited with her Sandshrew. Filled with gratitude, she had her Abra teleport everyone to Hearthome City.

Meryl Stryfe and her junior co-worker Milly were sent by the Bernardelli Insurance Society to evaluate claims regarding Vash the Stampede. Despite her serious attitude and short temper, she is a good person.  Although she doesn't often fight alongside Vash, she hides many derringer-style "throwaway" pistols under her coat. She once referred to herself as "Derringer Meryl".  Initially, she finds Vash to be a nuisance and dismisses the idea that he is the legendary Humanoid Typhoon. As time passes, she realizes that Vash isn't the villain that he is made out to be nor the buffoon that he presents himself to be. Gradually, she comes to respect Vash and love him deeply.  It is also hinted near the end of the anime that she may possibly be the reincarnation of Rem Saverem. This, however, is not present in the manga, and may have been an independent decision by the producers of the anime.
