Belldandy is unflinchingly kind, patient, and warm, not only to Keiichi but to everyone, without exception. However, this does not mean that she is to be taken lightly; Belldandy is licensed as a goddess first-class, unlimited, and as such is highly skilled. Her power is so great, in fact, that she is required to wear a special earring on her left ear which constantly seals the full brunt of her magical strength. The only time at which she has ever revealed her true strength is during the Lord of Terror arc. At the end of this arc, Belldandy completely reconstructed their home from rubble, mentioning that doing so only took one ten-millionth of her power.

Belldandy's capacities and talents are diverse, whether magical or worldly. Not only can she change the appearance of her clothing and levitate (and, by extension, fly) as all full-fledged goddesses are expected to, but she can also teleport through mirrors, speak to and understand animals, "see" people's emotions as auras, heal minor wounds by speeding metabolism, and "speak" to machines. Furthermore, she is a superb cook, and her singing skills are held to be the best in the heavens. She is also incapable of getting drunk on alcoholic drinks, but instead gets drunk with soda (it has to be noted, however, that she's a complete lightweight in this regard. One sip is enough to send her in a drunken rampage—although given her personality, "rampage" takes an entirely different, but no less destructive, meaning). In addition, she is also the top broom racer in heaven, the only one that could rival her is Welsper from hell or Hild the Daimakaichou herself.

Belldandy's angel is Holy Bell (Bless餠Bell in some versions of the English manga); her elemental attribute is wind. Like all angels, Holy Bell augments Belldandy's magical powers when called upon, and like all angels, she also reflects her master's current state. For example, when Belldandy falls unconscious after being infected with a virus (in the movie), Holy Bell emerges comatose and covered with crystals that represent the virus.

Belldandy does not appear to play a significant role in maintaining Yggdrasil. Rather, she works at the Goddess Relief Agency which deals with granting wishes (forming contracts) with humans, similar to Peorth's work at the Earth Assistance Agency.

Kanade Tachibana is the Afterlife School's student council president. She is often referred to as "Tenshi" by the SSS, based on both Yuri's belief that she must be a representative of god and the SSS members not knowing her name initially. Though, they continue to called her as "Tenshi" after discovering her real name. Her position often puts her at odds with Yuri and the other SSS members as her responsibilities require her to suppress delinquency and disruptive activities. 

Her given name, Kanade, as described by Otonashi, literally means "Playing music".

Tenshi has a variety of self-defense skills at her disposal, which she calls "Guard Skills".   

~! __Hand Sonic:__ Calls forth a blade on one hand or both. The blades are capable of slicing through steel. Kanade has shown several variations to its form:
-  _Version 1:_ Regular shape, resembling a longsword. 
- _Version 2:_ A longer version than the previous, with a curved diamond shape on its tip. 
- _Version 3:_ Shaped like a traditional sai. 
-  _Version 4:_ A variation which is shaped like a lotus flower with no edges other than, perhaps, its petals. Apparently more of a bludgeoning weapon than a slicing one. Tenshi admits to have created it in her attempt to make her weapon "cuter". 
- _Version 5:_ Kanade's most recent variation of Hand Sonic. Is basically a pair of pincers secured on the arm by a blue gauntlet-like accessory. She created this version out of Otonashi's advice to make a more ruthless image.
 __Distortion:__ Distorts the path of bullets or any other projectiles around or away from her body.   
__Delay:__ Creates a sort of after-image for close range. It is effective in dodging melee attacks by confusing the enemy into attacking elsewhere.  
 __Harmonics:__ Makes a clone of herself which is identical to her except the clone has blood-red eyes. Clones created through this ability have their own consciousness and have all the abilities of the original - including Harmonics itself. This ability is apparently sightly glitched, as her clones were shown to rebel against her to the extent of almost killing her.  
 __Absorb:__ A reverse of Harmonics. It allows Kanade to reintegrate Harmonics clones back into the original's body. However, since every clone has their own consciousness, using this poses some risks. The skill uses a command called timewait, which delays the execution. This was created by Yuri as a method of dealing with the clones.
__Overdrive:__ A passive ability that gives her superhuman strength.   
__Howling:__ Emits powerful high-frequency, high-amplitude sound-waves from crossed Hand Sonic blades, meant to make an enemy faint. Created by one of the Harmonics clones.   
__Angel Wings:__ Sprouts wings from her back that can be used to slow descent and let her survive drops such as jumping from the roof of a building. Purely decorational, as she could survive the drop easily to begin with.   
__Energy Blast:__ This unnamed technique produces a blue explosion that is shot out of her back in a vaguely angel wing-shaped blast. It was stated to be as powerful as a bomb by Naoi, after it demolished a mass of Shadows. !~

~! It is revealed that Kanade was the receiver of the donor heart from Otonashi. Her regret in life was her inability to thank the one who gave her the heart. After the credits, there is a short scene featuring what is assumed to be her and Otonashi reuniting in the real world !~

In Chobits manga and anime, Kaede Saito is the sister of Minoru Kokubunji. How can she be the brother of Minoru Kokunbunji, when her last name is different than those of her brother's?   ~!Their parents are divorced. Thus, they have different last names. This proof is further noticed in an episode of Angelic Layer anime; after Hikaru angel and Blanche angel duel ends, she states that she does not have a mother. To further elaborate, it is interpreted that she lives with her father while her brother lives with his mother. Therefore, she no longer has a mother AT HOME. You will probably realize that in one of the episodes of Angelic Layer anime, another woman is with her father at home. But, you never hear Kaede say okaa-san (mother) to that woman. !~  ~!Unfortunately, in Chobits manga and anime, she dies of an illness. Minoru, who could not accept the fact that his sister died, created a persocom by the name of Yuzuki. Minoru inputs in programmings into Yuzuki that best represents his lovely sister's appearance and characteristics. Minoru states that seeing Yuzuki makes him sad and happy at the same time because he can live in a dream where his sister is still alive However, the painful reality is Yuzuki is not his sister. Later on, Minoru slowly realizes that Yuzuki could never be the replacement for his sister and that Yuzuki could not be replaced as well. Thus, he stopped inputting data into Yuzuki knowing that inputting the data is meaningless. !~

Ringo is a pop idol from Tochigi who plays Angelic Layer over the objections of her manager. In order to become strong and beat Hikaru, she studies Hikaru's past battles, notably against Suzuka because she didn't lose quickly. Ringo likes living freely and often escapes from her manager to get out of doing work. The daughter of CEO Tsugumo of Yamato Air Lines, she met Shin and Satoru when she was introduced to flying airplanes for the first time. Ryoko became infatuated with Shin before he left for Paris to conduct his pilot training. She became furious at Satoru when she found out that Shin was forced to serve in the Asranian air force against his will, refusing Satoru's wishes for them to get together. In the 2004 TV series, Makoto visited her on the day of her supposed wedding and gave her a photo of Shin's F-5 jet. Realizing that Satoru lied to her, she ran away on their wedding day, forcing her father to postpone the wedding. In the manga and OAV series, she consents to let Kanzaki have his way with her sexually if he will purchase her share of Yamato airline stock at full price, allowing her to raise enough money to buy out Shin's contract. A girl introduced in volume 3, Alice is a trainee for Orange Planet, a company who currently holds the first place in the water guide business. She first appears as a very standoffish, snotty young girl; however, exposure to Akari's mood begins to lighten her up as the series progresses. This does not stop her from telling the other girls to be quiet when they argue, however.  

She is just a trainee when Akari and Aika are apprentices, but is already showing a talent for rowing that might surpass both of them (in fact, this is the reason why she was scouted by Orange Planet despite her age). Despite this (and the fact that Akari and Aika are from rival businesses), she often joins the two in joint practice sessions, and she sincerely enjoys their company.  Alice speaks in a very deadpan manner, and tends to use the word dekkai (でっかい - meaning "huge") often in the course of speaking. Aika also commonly addresses her as "Kohai-chan" (後輩ちゃん - or "junior" said in a friendly manner).

Colette is the beloved mother Najda is searching for. She is the daughter of a Duke, and is thus of extremely high social status. This meant very little however, when she met Raymond, a handsome musician. It was the night of her first ball, and love at first sight for the both of them. Colette risked her father's wrath to elope with Raymond, and shared many happy days with him. They both had great love for their daughter, Nadja. Unfortunately great illness and cruel fate would separate Colette from her daughter. Nicknamed Effie (エフィ Efi?) for short, Elfleda is also part of Lotte&#039;s female-only staff. She is very notable for her very huge chest, which even made Naoya blush at first. Effie is also one of Lotte&#039;s confidantes, the other one being Griselda. Effie hails from a noble race with traits similar to cows, therefore being able to produce high-quality milk, albeit through her huge chest. Effie also wears a bell around her neck, another trait of cows. Effie is generally nice, but can be slightly perverted at times, and is easily embarrassed around Naoya at first. Effie is usually seen together with Griselda or Judit, watching over the princess, Asuha, and Naoya.

Chiyo Mihama , usually called Chiyo-chan, is a child prodigy, having skipped five grades to 10th grade (first year in Japanese high school) at the start of the series yet is still top of the class. Such grade-skipping would be unthinkable in Japan, and the series humorously explores its potential consequences. The other characters find Chiyo amazingly cute, but sometimes take advantage of both her youthfulness and her scholastic abilities. Her diminutive stature leads to her having a lack of confidence, particularly in sports where she fears she is a burden to others. Chiyo is frequently viewed with jealousy by fellow students, initially because of her intelligence, but later also because of the discovery that her family is exceedingly wealthy (they own an enormous mansion and a summer house which Chiyo invites her classmates to visit on several occasions). The stylistic rendering of Chiyo&#039;s pigtails allow for several visual gags in both the manga and anime: Osaka often imagines them to be flapping wings, or as entities independent of Chiyo herself. Akemi Asakawa, the second second-year student on the team, is probably the most undedicated out of all the members of her team, as she seems only to care about her boyfriend to the point where she will ditch kendo club over her boyfriend. When she encounters a problem with her boyfriend she will not do her best and will only go on the defense; however, when her boyfriend makes up with her she will immediately start pouring out all of her effort, making her a rather formidable opponent. Apparently none of her teammates save for Kenzaburō have any real concern for her, as they simply let her constant ditchings slide (even if she is ditching from a kendo match). Kenzaburō, however, is appalled with her habit of constantly ditching kendo just to meet up with her boyfriend and her lack of effort when she is upset. Sayako Kuwahara is a second year high school student who is described as being random and spontaneous, often changing her interests and goals. During her first year, she joins the Kendo Club, but would sometimes disappear for short periods of time, claiming to quit. She and Kirino have known each other since elementary school, and Kirino often calls her &quot;Saya&quot;. She is one of the tallest members on the team, which others poke fun at by &quot;mistakenly&quot; calling her a boy. In the storyline, she was seen to improve her footwork tremendously after a brief teaching session from Tamaki. Sayako, like Kirino, thinks that Tamaki is cute, as she and Kirino will sometimes do silly things to Tamaki (i.e., playing with Tamaki&#039;s hair, not listening to her kendo lectures, making Tamaki fight merely because she wants to see her fight, etc.). She is rather pessimistic, and always claims to pursue death the moment she fails at something. In the anime, her writer&#039;s hobby is seen when telling stories, like explaining why Asuma quit kendo in a dramatic fashion (although her friends gave her three points since they found her &quot;story&quot; uninteresting). She plays the position of Center (Ch&ucirc;ken) in the competition. 

Yuri Sakazaki is a video game character from SNK Playmore&#039;s (formerly known as SNK) Art of Fighting series. She first appears in the original Art of Fighting being kidnapped by Mr. Big, a criminal from the fictional city of Southtown. The players, Yuri&#039;s brother Ryo and his friend Robert Garcia spend the game searching for her. In the second Art of Fighting, Yuri appears for the first time as a playable character, having been trained by her father Takuma in the art of the Kyokugenryu Karate. She has also appeared in most games from The King of Fighters series, with the notable exception of the non-canon The King of Fighters XII, participating in the annual tournaments from each title. An easily excitable girl who joins the Half Priced Food Lovers Club. Her hobby is writing yaoi erotic novels, having its characters inspired by other bento brawlers. Not a fighter type at all, Hana usually resorts to sneaking past the other bento brawlers while they are fighting to grab a bento for herself.

Binchou-tan, the main character in the anime, is a young girl who lives by herself in an old house far from town. As her name suggests, she often wears a piece of charcoal on her head. Each episode depicts a day in the life of Binchou-tan who needs to work in order to buy food and necessities.    She is assumed to be an orphan because she lives by herself, refuses to answer shopkeepers who ask where her mother is and keeps to her habits of greeting and farewelling herself when traveling. She apparently, also possesses the ability to change the size of her body. Normally she is the size of a small child, but in some cases she can shrink herself to for instance fit in a shoe or to ride on the back of a duck. Yuzu is Karin's fraternal twin (both were born on May 6 of the same year) and more soft-spoken in comparison to her authoritative sibling. She is also the more empathetic of the two girls. She takes care of the housework, such as cooking meals and tidying up the living space, on a daily basis. She also regularly cuts Ichigo's hair. She likes to play with Kon, calling him "Bostov", unaware of the fact that he's alive, which most often involves her dressing him in feminine clothes and gluing on unwanted accessories, much to his chagrin. Unlike her siblings, Yuzu is only able to see faint outlines of spirits. Both girls help out in the family's clinic. She is Karakura Yellow in Don Kanonji's Karakura Superheroes. She tends to get very upset whenever Ichigo disappears for anything longer than a day. Yuzu is also the name of a citron.

A miko and a chiropteran slayer. She is known to her friends to be very dense with no common sense especially when it comes to love. 

Saya is portrayed as a kind, clumsy and helpful person, acting very cheerful and singing songs in the morning. She loved her friends, her family, and her normal life as well as being dutiful in her family's fighting against the Elder Bairn.

Enju was an anthropologist with telepathic powers. She had a steadfast love for Gyokuran, despite knowing she would never be able to compete with Mokuren for Gyokuran's attentions. Despite this, she never treated Mokuren badly and never let herself turn bitter. Later on, the two paired after Shion and Mokuren got engaged; however, Gyokuran still loved Mokuren and believed that Shion forced her into the engagement, allowing him to hope that Mokuren did love him back. Because of this, even after they hooked up, Enju's feelings were never really returned by Gyokuran. Shusuran was Enju's best friend and supported her unwaveringly as much as she could through Enju's days of trying to gain Gyokuran's interest. Enju was the fourth to die.
