The old Band of the Hawk's friendly mediator. A former circus performer who wielded throwing knives, Judeau was also well-aware of the world around him and was seen as a confidant for many of The Hawks. Throughout his stay with the Band of the Hawk, he was secretly in love with Casca, but never acted on it out of respect for Guts' and Casca's feelings for each other.

Master Mage Clef is the man appointed by the Pillar of Cephiro to lead the Legendary Magic Knights to help finish the legend. However, on the very first time Clef and the Magic Knights met, he was turned into stone by High Priest Zagato. Even so, he still helps them out. He has a very good and nice personality. In the second series, Clef is helping to guard the palace from invasions by neighbouring countries. He almost lost his life when he used a strong spell to bring back all the Magic Knights from Lady Debonair and Innova.

Chiaki is twenty-one years old and a 3rd-year piano student at Momogaoka Music Academy at the start of the series. He is an accomplished pianist and violinist, but is also known to be a perfectionist and highly critical of himself and others. He comes from a distinguished and well-off family, and is a fairly good cook. He seems to think that most &quot;poor&quot; people (such as Sakura Saku) are like the little match girl.     While he dreams of studying abroad and becoming a famous conductor like his mentor, Sebastiano Viella, he must overcome his fear of flying and the sea to do so (he finally did with help of Nodame&#039;s hypnosis).     He is dismayed to discover that the freakish but talented girl, Nodame, lives in the apartment next door to him. However, he develops a sort of empathy with Nodame as he discovers her hidden potential to be a great pianist, and he begins to transcend his perfectionism and begins to enjoy her music and the music of others.     Despite his constant irritation towards Nodame, he eventually develops romantic feelings towards her and he chooses to find a work as a conductor in Paris, where he is going to study.     As Chiaki realizes his life&#039;s ambition to become a conductor, he also finds that he needs Nodame&#039;s support and that he cannot move on without her. He also appears to have fear of being abandoned and surpassed, the former comes from being abandoned by his father as a young boy. Afraid of being abandoned, he often abandons other people instead, especially Nodame. Also he&#039;s constantly afraid of being surpassed by Nodame, trying to go even further from her, which leaves her miserable as she is trying to catch up to him. He also can be considered as insensitive.

Initially Gantz refers to Kurono as "Bitch" and "Loser", though he settles on "Kurono" as the series progresses.

Mikoto Shinozaki (篠崎ミコト) is the main protagonist of the series, a 1st year student and the third member of the school's cycling club. He is 15 years old. Originally living a quiet boring life and getting bullied daily by the upperclassmen. Until one day when Yuki Fukazawa asks him to join the school's cycling club. Though he rejects this proposal at first as he, due to a childhood trauma he has forgotten, finds bicycles to be scary and thus he also doesn't remember how to ride one. He's a sprinter. Personality Mikoto is best described as hardworking. When trying to impress his crush Yuki by riding the bicycle, he overcomes his fear and works endlessly over and over again to learn. Mikoto dislikes how he currently is and tries to work harder in order to fix his problems and no longer be a burden to anyone. He pushes past his failures to become someone new. Mikoto is also noticeably strange as he does strange things at strange times. This is seen when he just starts exercising when he accidentally tripped in the hallway. Mikoto also has a strange habit of bubbling any type of liquid he has near his mouth incidentally causing him to almost drown. Despite all this Mikoto is an extremely kind and loyal person, sticking with the training of the cycling club and loving Yuki despite her cold attitude to him.

Joe is from Japan, although he is actually half-Japanese. A delinquent youth, he escaped from a juvenile detention facility before being captured by Black Ghost.

Adol Christin is the primary protagonist of the Ys series. He has an uncanny knack for being at or arriving to the right place at the right time. He also has the curious habit of falling into the sea, and washing up on beaches, being rescued and nursed back to health by each game's female lead.

Phoenix is also a loyal friend who won&#039;t back down once he&#039;s set his mind on something.  He has a bit of a sarcastic side that he usually keeps to himself.

A fourteen-year-old boy in the city where Kiki settles. He is obsessed with aviation, is a member of a club building a human-powered aircraft, and is at first intrigued only by Kiki's ability to fly. He later becomes her friend, although it is obvious that she awes him. (It is not clear, at least to an English-speaker, whether &quot;Kopoli&quot; is intended as a given name or family name. &quot;Tombo&quot;, according to the novel, is a nickname, Japanese for &quot;dragonfly&quot;.)

~!Akai Shuichi is an American of Japanese descent and member of the American Federal Bureau of Investigation, on special assignment in Japan to capture Vermouth. His superior is James Black and his partner is Jodie Starling.!~

~!He had infiltrated the Black Organization under the name Moroboshi Dai - and the codename "Rye" - as a mole and dated Miyano Akemi, one of their low-ranking members, to feed information to the FBI. In order to facilitate the latter, and later because he had genuinely developed feelings for Akemi, Akai saw himself forced to break up his then on-going relationship with Jodie. Later on, his cover in the Black Organization was accidentally blown by his colleague Andre Camel, and when Akemi was killed, he declared her murderer, Gin (with whom he seems to have had some tensions even before his exposure), his personal enemy. !~

His ability to deduct information about cases like a genius detective were among reasons why (along with Haibara's fear of him) made it seem likely that his identity was that of Black Organisation member, Bourbon. Julian Mintz is the son of a soldier who served in the Alliance&rsquo;s army, he lost his mother at a very young age and, some years later, his father was killed in battle leaving him a war-orphan. As such Julian was admitted in the wartime welfare program and, through the mediation of vice admiral Alex Cazellnu, he was made Yang Wenli&rsquo;s ward.  Julian is a very intelligent and responsible boy with a knack for house chores and is the one who takes care of the domestically incompetent Yang, so much so that their friends often wonder who amongst the two is the real guardian and who the ward. Julian loves Yang and deeply respects him, both for his kindness and his well-defined philosophy on life. Yang wants a peaceful life for Julian, but, much to his disappointment, Julian&rsquo;s dream is to follow in his and his father&rsquo;s footsteps and become a soldier.

Hyunckel's parents were killed in a monster attack, but one of the monsters took him in and raised him like a son. When Avan killed Hadlar and Hyunkel finds his adoptive father dead, he secretly holds a grudge against Avan, who he believes killed his father. Hyunkel then becomes Avan's first pupil but, after graduating, unsuccessfully tried to kill his teacher with a technique he invented himself, Bloody Scraid. He was then taken in by Myst-Vearn who brought him up to be General of the Immortal Army, one of the six main armies under Hadlar and Vearn's control. After discovering that Hadlar had killed his adopted father instead of Avan, he joins Dai's party. Hyunkel originally used a demon magic sword that could transform into armor (Amudo), but Dai broke it when he was fighting Baran. Ever since then, Hyunkel has been using a spear with the same properties and created by the same person. Hyunkel can use all the basic Avan techniques also in addition to Demon Puppet Grab (He learned it from Myst-Vearn). Due to changing his weapon from a sword to a spear, he had to learn Avan's elemental techniques for spears (Avan developed techniques for all sorts of weapons). The new spear techniques he learned are called Thundering Ground Flash (equilavent to the Earth Slash), Echoing Sea Flash (equilavent to the Sea Slash), Sky Flash (equilavent to the Sky Slash). His strongest attack is the Grand Cross (a huge cross shaped attack that utilizes the user's entire life energy storage into 1 massive attack).

Akina Hiizumi is the director of the Hiizumi Life Counseling Office and the successor of the Hiizumi Clan. 

He is usually cheerful, light-spirited, kind and cordial to people around him, and diplomatic and polite in stressful situations. His kind approach to people although might be natural, seems also to derive from a structured ethical intelligence, that he urges to build up. In spite of being oblivious to girls who have crushes on him, he is very observant when a friend is in need and will approach them in a light and encouraging mood. When a crucial moment comes, he is not afraid to speak his mind even angrily to demand justice and to defend his friends, and so he is courageous.

~!Many of his and the townsfolk memories regarding Hime and her true nature were sealed away and when their memories finally came back he remembered that Hime was a demon and he was the one who knitted her the scarf she wears everywhere to hide her neck scar. Despite being able to use tuning, it was revealed by Enjin that somewhere deep within Akina lies the power to use Falling too, just like Enjin has the power to use Tuning.!~

Finnian often called Finny, is Phantomhive household gardener. However, it seems every time he tends to the garden it is killed through an accident caused by his clumsiness and overenthusiastic pruning or not noticing that the pesticide container is leaking. In fact, if left to his own devices, he's stated that he'd like to make the garden into the shape of a giant robot.   He is portrayed as an innocent, child-like character, but is dubbed an idiot by Sebastian. But his combination of tears, innocent looks, and willful ignorance of anything that doesn't fall into his cheerful worldview makes Finny probably the most successful of the servants at wheedling favors and money out of Sebastian. He is very carefree and is almost always seen with a happy smile on his face.    ~!Finnian displays feats of superhuman strength, which he tries to suppress from fear of hurting others and risk of sabotaging his work. The sequence S-012 are tattooed to the back of his neck and are covered by his straw hat. He works as a gardener to spend as much time as possible outside because he was not able to do so before, and explains that he loves working for Ciel because he does not give him injections, kill his friends or lock him in a cage. He was experimented on as a scientific/medical test subject to increase physical strength before the events of the story until he was rescued by Ciel.!~    ~!He seems to have feelings for Angela because her kindness and beauty until he saw her true dominatrix personality.!~

A kleptomaniac and an informant to Assistant Warden Tamaki, Yoh was hired to watch over Ganta in return of large amounts for Cast Points. Though apparently friendly and polite, in truth he is ruthless, scheming and somehow paranoid, given his position as a spy for the prison's staff. A rarity among the prison population, Yoh made himself captured and sent to Deadman Wonderland in hopes to find his sister Minatsuki and buy her freedom with the accumulated Cast Points he got from Tamaki. He cares deeply about her, so much so that he is often thought of suffering from a sister complex, much to Minatsuki's disgust. The two eventually manage to forge an estranged relationship. Kanon is the designated tuner of Thorn Queen Noyamano Ringo, and he is quite openly interested in her.  He one-sidedly considers Ikki his &quot;love rival&quot; for Ringo, and claims to know more about her than anyone else.  He is also Sumeragi Kururu&#039;s cousin.  Despite his ever-present gentle smile, he has shown himself to be manipulative.    The guitar case on he carries on his back conceals some mysterious and potentially dangerous mechanical device.

He is always energetic, full of curiosity, and has a strong sense of justice.

A bespectacled friend and classmate of Tsubaki. He and Oka have been dating for about a year, but try to keep it a secret from their classmates. Only Tsubaki and Urabe (and later Hayakawa) are aware of their relationship. He often fondly recounts to Tsubaki his experiences with Oka; Tsubaki in turn gets romantic ideas to use on Urabe from Ueno's stories. He also seems to possess a possessive style as he won't take Oka to the beach because other guys will see her in a bikini and jealous when other guys talk to her.

Lyon is a former student of Ur. Like Gray, Ur trained him when he was a child to use ice magic. Since meeting Ur he came to desire surpassing her at all costs, reading her magic books in secret to learn spells more powerful than what she was teaching him. After Ur gave her life to save Gray from Deliora by encasing it in ice, Lyon blamed Gray for depriving him of his chance to surpass her.   Lyon performs his ice magic with one hand, a faster though less reliable alternative to Gray's two-hand magic. Similarly, unlike the static ice creations Gray makes, Lyon's ice takes the form of animals that can move about after their creation.    ~!He later returns as a member of Lamia Scale, along with Sherry and Rock-Iron Jura to aid their alliance in the defeat of the Oracion Six. He also changes his magic style to use both of his hands during his fight with Gray with Racer.!~ The childhood Lyon is voiced by Sayaka Narita in Japanese and by Leah Clark in English.

An ally and classmate who meets Josuke when Jotaro is searching for him, resulting in the two becoming quick friends. His stand is Echoes, which has three distinct forms, or Acts (Koichi can only call upon one at any given time).

He always feels a bit left out, since he's the youngest one of the group. That feeling even got bigger when he found out he is the only Scorpio out of the group, while the rest of the guys are all Sagittarius. But despite being the 'baby' of the group, his knowledge of the station's history and technical trivia of trains is the largest.

In the beginning, all that is known about Silvermask is his obsessive desire to torture and kill both Andragoras and Arislan. He is serving as the leader of the Lusitanian forces but is in fact a Palsian himself and soon commands a regiment of collaborators. He is so named because of the ornate silver helm he wears; it has large silver bull-horns attached to it, and completely obscures his face. He later reveals his face to Andragoras, now his prisoner, who recognises him as Hermes, the son of King Osiris, Andragoras&#039; brother and predecessor.
